there is a virtualzap folder in the rar file.
Copy that folder to \usr\lib\enigma2\python\Plugins\Extensions\
and reboot your gui.
Probably isn't python 3 ready though.

try these commands in telnet/putty
one of them should get you up and running.
opkg install python-lzma
or
opkg install liblzma5
if it doesn't your image is not compatible with this plugin. Which image are you using. -
sandman_1983 brought in a copy of RunningText.py in this skin which will be your problem as it wont be python 3 converted.
If your skin is for oe-alliance only there is no need to bring this in as all images should have it.
You also need to remove nextevents.py from your files to as that is an oe-alliance file.

It is indeed, it took me nearly a year to perfect my first skin Slyk 1 hd (and in those days there was a lot of willing testers and helpers). Every day is learning day. But skins have moved on a lot since my early days and our early experiments. Someone has probably done all the hard work for you now. i.e me, digiteng, chabs etc to name a few. Just a case of putting those elements into your own styles.
It gets easier after the first massive learning curve.

Backgrounds can be jpgs as they don't require transparency. Which will be smaller. Pngs just look cleaner and sharper ;)

Its a long time since I did skinning work.
But I think I used this for the bulk of png compressing.

You will still have to manually check if its corrupts any though. (or over compresses - in which case you have to find another png compressor for certain graphics i.e tinypng.com)

24 mb - whoa . You need to compress all your images. Even my complicated skins like onyx and slyk q are less than 3.5mb
Be careful though some png compressors are bad. Make a copy of your original png files before compressing them.Don't include other skins pyo elements - on uninstall it will remove these components and break the original skin as it will be missing the required components.
Rename and re-reference them to your own names
remove Thumbs.db from folders.- those files are adding a huge amount to the total size.
Don't include MSN weather in your skin. - The user should download/install this plugin. Removes a massive amount of bulk.
Again uninstalling your skin will uninstall MSN weather at the moment.
You will have to check that any python elements you are using are both python 2.7 and python 3 compatible.
(or otherwise state which python version this skin is compatible with) -
There is an error in your bouquet files.
If you have been manually editting them, you have editted something wrong.

Cannot find a single source for the dolly music. I could recreate it. But I don't know what the arabic text says underneath.

LAN port? Is that just terminology phrased wrong.
You connect your tv and sat box via the hdmi ports, not the lan port

If your wires are correct.
In a browser use the remote in that and go to
menu/setup/Video/basic settings/ (or similar menus depending on your image)
video output : hdmi
automatic resolution : disabled
mode: drop this down to lowest to see if your tv comes on 720prefresh rate: 50hz (60hz for modern tvs)
