abu baniaz i have an iptv provider i test that picon pngs fail to play nicely with the PIL library. They are just not recognised as a png. I have no idea why. I can open them in windows photo viewer. I can open them in photoshop. There is nothing unusual with the bit rate/colour depth or file information. I have ran them through a file identifier and they are recognised as pngs. Its a strange one. Obviously the pngs have been run through some sort of image compressor but why
PIL library is failing to recognise them is still a mystery. I will do some more digging. if i can fix my problem, it will probably also fix other pngs not being correctly recognised. But i already spent some considerable time trying to solve this already

I gotta put vix back on some time in the next few days anyway to check a bug abu is reporting.
I will give both v5.32 and latest a test and see if I can replicate your issue

I think this is now full python 2.7 and python 3 compatible. Works on my setups anyway.
The bug if grouping playlists and then them not playing via EPG guide must have always been a bug. Nothing has changed there. Not fixed
dsayers I have looked at my code and openvix epg code, they all seem to tie up. So still don't know why that's not working for you.

Do you have a link.
Or even just sent me one picon that is crashing on boot so I can put it on my system and see if I get the same results.
in fact was it openvix I was seeing this error on my multiboot setup.
I will put vix on again soon. My second box is solely for python 3 testing at the moment

I kept getting this error initially myself on my multiboot setup.
Only installed one image and it went away
I am thinking it is possibly a clash between python 2.7 imaging and python 3 imaging
I havent seen that error for a while now.

I have got JediMakerXtream now fully working on openatv 6.5 (python 3)
Just need to re-test it all tomorrow back on python 2.7

What I mean is this.
Select group bouquets into its own folder
Then open the epg guide when in one of these bouquets
Click on any channel and it doesn't load the channel it loads BBC One HD
(Well it does on my openatv 6.3 and openatv 6.5)Channel select screen (tv button) works perfectly fine though.

You really need to stop scaremongering.
Testious is a perfectly fine and safe site.
The only way line tests are shown in the archive is if the user decides to Click "Publish Results"

OK I am totally perplexed now.
Just installed the original epgselection.py (no mod) for openatv 6.3 still the EPG guide doesn't play grouped channels
This file hasn't changed in 12 months
I am 100% sure this used to work. Maybe it didn't . Maybe I only ever used the epg guide to use catchup.

Just tried v.5.32 and v 5.00 Both do not play a grouped channel in EPG guide.
Surely this used to work and its openatv that have changed something

Just tried epg guide. With grouped bouquets set to yes.
All my programmes go to bbc one hd.
Ungrouped. EPG guide works fine.

So XStreamity and Epiconizer seem to now both be working on Python 2.7 and Python 3.
Back to this big boy's conversion.

there is also a website you can test payservers.
But if it can't resolve host name, then yep its no longer active.
Your probably lucky it lasted 7 months ;)

Is it possible to add the possibility to use the 'The alias.txt file ' for a selected bouquet (not only for SKY bouquet) ? :crying:

No sorry, the logic behind the alias.txt file is quite complicated even for just for 28.2e satellite.
It would massively complicate things further doing it for alternative satellites.

Guys, you have to understand when I wrote this plugin there was a good selection of free EPG sources to use.
Sources are now getting less than less.
I do crawl github and various google searches to try and find alternatives. Unfortunately there is very few freely available now.
So not a lot I can do about that.
If you can find a source for the country you are after, then great. But not a lot I can do about the included sources either being dead or no longer being updated.
And as always, if you find a good solid source, please share it.

Do you have a satellite dish. If so you are tuning in Freesat. Not free view.
