okay thank you. hm, I thought they all were made for the same purpose. I know that some are better sure, but that bad that you cannot get a normal signal. So the db is the only thing I am looking for? Cause I can see that a 0.1 db is easily cheaper than mine?.
What signal strength should I be satisfied with, what is normal? And do you know if you have to do with less signal with a dish like mine?

Help plz, before i throw all my hardware in the harbor.
I have setup my wave frontier t90 dish with 4 lnb's. When searching on 1 lnb with my single alps lnb, I get a max signal of 80-82 and finding only around 300 channels/services. This is ofcourse not good enough, don't know how good a signal you can get on this dish though.
The lnb is in the position it should be when I have all 4 lnb's connected, but I connet only 1 directly to the box. I have tried to change the lnb to a very old one I had, and that one gives me a signal of 85 and around 450 channels, which is better (and that I don't understand) but still not good enough cause with that old lnb and a small, old and normal dish, I get signals over 90 and 550 channels.
What the H... is wrong with my setup???

thanks all of you for your answers. I currently have 4 single alps lnb's. I think my swtich may be broken, cause i cannot find signal on any other than port number 1. All 4 lnb's are in the right position for the satellites I want to receive, but whenever I tune in to one satellite with good signal and try to change satellite to see signal from another lnb, it shows 63...as in nothing, but it is still the same lnb that is active. ;(

Do i need to download something to my dreambox to get this switch to work? or can I just use the normal settings like the one for 4 lnb's like my switch is.
I am trying to setup a wave frontier toroidal t90, but when i try to find satellite it only searches on 1 lnb, even though i change satellite to get it to change lnb as well, or am I wrong here? (I know cause I tried holding my hand over the lnb, and it is the same onw each time that gets my signal down). It dows not seem like its setup for 4 lnbs.
My switch is a: EMP-centauri DISEqC 2.0 s4/1PNC-W1 (p.164-IW)
Edit: I found out that no mather what I do, it only searches on the signal from the lnb that is in switch port 1 (IN 1)

Im buying a new dish, and was thinking of the wave toroidal T90, I just want to a make sure im buying the right things. Does anyone have any experience with this one.
What I am thinking of buying is:

and then a switch ofcourse but i dont know what to buy, but they are not that different... or what?

I finally got the card working, without putting in all the settings you posted earlier and without entering the boxkey, don't know if that is normal but i works ;) I cannot thank you enough for your help, you have been very patient, thx. Now I'm buying a new dish, so thats the next project. Cheers

okay, so I don't have to modify any of the information to match my setup....like ports etc.?

The first one worked fine, so now I got oscam_r4396 and cccam 2.1.3 up and running...finally ;)
I installed the image now and its running fine. I can see it has cccam 2.2.1 preinstalled, but I cannot find where to download other cams like i could on the other images, and cannot see oscam installed anywhere?

Okay, cause I just can't find out how to install that gemini multi addons server, either on my 500 nor 7020. Put the file in the right folder, but I don't see anything new to install, and nothing like in your screenshot. I tried on both PLI jade3 image and gemini 4.2 on my 500s box ;(
Okay stupid question again. Is scam and oscam the same?
Sry if I did not make myself clear, but the box I am working on now is a 7020s, trying to download Enigma 2 pcd3.1 now. But shouldn't this not work on PLI aswell?
I am using PLI image and cannot install that multiaddon package, cannot enter the (var/tuxbox/config/ ... enigma 2) folder
I already have cccam 2.2.1 installed?
