no good unless rooted
To be honest i would do a clean install anyway if i was you but one option is to use titanium backup: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup&hl=en
But you will need to root

My earlier issues i had have disappeared :)
In the last week or so i have had no problems, it locks instantly now onto all channels including the 'weaker' ones
Dont quote me on this but i think we had a kernel/driver update recently (openATV)
-
Might be unrelated but i have also noticed using a multi sat setup on my HD51 it struggles with any 'weak' channels whereas the Zgemma H2H instantly locks onto them i.e. 15.0w, 42.0e
Read this i found this quite interesting (arm): http://www.drhans.tv/?q=vu%2Bsolo4k
That guy also mentions how the solo 4k struggles with low Sr transponders
Try vhannibal channel list instead, i also know someone else who had trouble with catseye

Yes¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
I got it working now.
It's all well explained by Master G above.
I renamed the old oscam to oscam1(In case i want to use it later in the future) and the new oscam 11279 to just oscam. Then i startet oscam and
it took my config files¡¡¡Just as i wanted it.
Ahh one thing i noticed also is that in my box softcam pannel it shows the old oscam(11245)running and not the new oscam 11279.It doesn't matter anyway.
Thanks for the help to everyone and a big big thanks to Master G for this thread¡¡¡Are you sure it is running?
if you renamed the script to 11279 it would show as running -
Hi
They are not in there.
I try moving them there but oscam doesn't seem to find them.
One thing I noticed,if I start the other oscam it works.I mean it's like 2 oscam are running at the same time in my box.
What I need it's the config files from older version to work in the 11279 new version.
So over webif I have 2 oscams now. From what i understand if you change oscam the original config files will still be in place from the old oscam
etc/tuxbox/config
You know what i am gonna speak out loud here, i have had enigma boxes for about 3 months now and i am starting to feel up to speed with whats what
One thing i have not got my head around completely is oscam/ncam configuration
When i install oscam 11274 on my HD51 it automatically creates oscam.server
So i add my newcamd for vermin and cccam for multi sat readers
Now if i look at post's regarding to BISS/powervu Master G for example will provide a configs file containing oscam.server oscam.user oscam.reader
Why do you need these if these files are already automatically created?
Sorry to hijack the thread slightly
Edit: oh and why constant.cw and softcam.key (this still confuses me a bit)
-
The DVB-C tuner is a small bonus on the Mutant for Vermin
-
I`ve tested both with OpenViX and the HD51 is faster at booting and restarting GUI. It boots in 28 seconds, solo4k takes 58 seconds. Restarts GUI in 3 seconds, solo4k takes 20 seconds.
Everything i`ve tried on both is instant, like plugins, EPG, etc, no lag or freezing whatsoever..
You are paying extra on the solo4k for the FBC Twin tuners (mutant comes with a single tuner), Mini TV, wifi, extra card reader, Plug & Play drive caddy..
I prefer the solo4k, it looks better, has more image support and Kodi.. The Mutant looks cheap and the remote control is terrible.
The remote truly is terrible
-
The equivalent file is ncam.server. Same goes for other oscam configs, oscam.conf is ncam.conf, oscam.user is ncam.user and so on.
Just rename oscam.whatever to ncam.whatever (change whatever to the actual config file like conf, server, user etc). Its quite funny how i stumbled on this, you uploaded a backup for the Mutant HD51 earlier with ncam so i had a look what it was
I came across this thread: http://linuxsat-support.com/sh…ce-between-Ncam-and-Oscam
One poster on the thread seems to have powervu working without stream relay (ableit it is for VU+)
Do you think there is any chance it could work for the HD51
Oh and thanks for the reply

when i downloaded 11279 it didnt have the script i take it i have to manually install a new one i.e. the one you have attached
sorry to be a pain as usual
-
master g where is the start stop script what is the actual file name
-
Zgemma H2H with openATV
Cable and motorised dish
Does the job very well
BUT i have heard the Edison mini can run powervu channels without stream relay so that would be my choice (if it has DVB-C have not checked)
-
-
Its a binary, not an .ipk, so you need to manually install it in /usr/bin and add a start/stop script for your image.
master G could you explain how to do this please?
i want to try the latest oscam-emu 11279 on my Mutant HD51
tried to google it but a bit confused, still a bit new to this :/
-
-
works on the H2H
-
So if anyone was to ask for a low budget box in future, one would say get the Edison OS Mini as it can do xyz over the Zgemma (assuming you are using a motorised dish setup)
Oh and thanks for your guides on various things joeuser

http://linuxsat-support.com/sh…on-OS-mini-with-Oscam-Emu
So as you see it can be done, this is more of a question than a how to
I have powervu channels running on my H2H
My question is more 'why one box' but not the other (with similar specs)
Is it purely down to the image?
