exctracted the ipk with 7zip but cant even find where to put them files and is it the .tar files im putting in the dir or extracting them too?

Ftp the skin manually with all the components and fonts.

Try:

Extract the ipk file usin 7zip

Ftp all the files n folders to their relevant location in ur receiver

You need both the skymedium.tff and skybold.tff font files in your font folder of your receiver otherws u will keep getting the screen of death...

ok i give up!! been trying to put this skin on for 3 days solid almost i ran command in telnet saved the folder into dreamplex skins folder selected the sly skin in dreamplex pressed green button restarted gui. then my skin doesnt change and when i go to dreamplex i get the green screen of death. im running openpli 4.0

i got mv: write error no space left on device and box crashed ?

it was a 8gb usb stick and i initialized it in box before i ran the command in tellnet?

i think it has still worked though and made more space thanks

used that mate thanks a lot it helped. i didnt clear up much space with it because i only have 1 skin and a handfull of plugins. i have 4.8mb free space but would like more as im trying to install the new 2.5sly skin. you know of a openpli image that isnt so big? cheers

please can somebody tell me what i am doing wrong? i downloaded both files then placed the ipk file into my temp folder after that i ran opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk in tellnet it says its installing the sly skin and gets to the point
configuring enigma2-skin-sky.new. root@dm800se then stops?

ok i think its because there is no space left on the device but no matter what i do i cannot free enough space. i have a dm800se openpli 4.0 and im using flash expander but only have 6.2mb free data any ideas how i can free up a bit more space? i tried removing unused language packs but kept getting green screen so dont know what else i can do to get this awesome looking skin lol???

please can someone help me? im trying to use flashexpander on my openpli 4.0 image so i can install more plugins without running out of space all the time but everytime i press blue button then flashexpander select the partition1 (ext4) i get errorcopy flash memory

edit i sorted it i just used an 8 gig usb stick

i have connected my dreambox to kodi with great results i have got it on my tablet and laptop bu tnow i cant find a way of getting kodi on my xbox one??

my dm800se has wireless but i struggled to set it up at home last time cheers

hi all i was out in my caravan this weekend and i noticed that a lot of people had these free sat dishes outside there vans and i had a thought,
i wonder if i can get my dm800 working in the van with sly? and use the internet off my phone as tethering or something to make my sly work??? any ideas or suggestions? cheers craig

tried it pal got stuck lol thanks for your help but im going to sack it off ha its too complicated just to do a back up. thanks for all your help though people. just been trying to make a back up for 2 days and the head is done in with it lol

hi people i have my image all set up how i like it and would like to save a .nfi file to my laptop so that i can flash back to this image whenever i want but im having trouble, i been using nfi image tools but when i select backup its just not working. i have also tried dflash and barry allen but cant seem to install the plugins correctly? any help would be hugely appreciated cheers. its open pli 4.0 on a dm800se clone

yes i know mate but that is my problem when i am trying to select 28.2 it goes from 26 then to 30 and there is no 28.2 option

ok sorted it i downloaded oscam aswel from the softcam plugin downloads and selected that as cam2 and selected cam 1 as cccam209 then renamed the files cccam209.sample to cccam209.cfg then worked cheers love the image
