I have been having issues with some peers not sowing any entitlements on their local. I figured it was a case of their cards expiring. But one peer with entitlements on their local sent a second line with the same address to test. This is showing no entitlements while the older one is. I've compared the two and cant see any difference. Is the problem their end?

"If I was you I would switch your setanta sub to a freesat card"
I'm not aware of any freesat card available in Ireland. Don't think Setanta would transfer my sub to a British card.

"Another thing why are you using 3 groups in your user account?"
The first two group I use to separate my card from my shares. My peers can only access my local. The third was when I tried to run the old and new card together. I can get rid of that group now.

"And darken that dyndns you have displayed..is that genuine and from someone as i have got an ip from it"
No it is not a genuine dns, I think. It was added automatically when I installed oscam from the LinuxsatSupportAddons. have no idea what it does. There is also a remote reader installed that I am clueless about too.

"yep your card has been the victim of the new pairing system"
So is that it for card sharing? When they introduced the nagra3 card that was a new hardware obstacle but the pairing thing appears to be software based. Is my armature analyses completely wrong.
All I want is to get everything for free in HD?! Is it that much to ask?

After 2 frustrating weeks of fiddling and hoping, I could not get the entitlements to update so I rang Setanta and transferred the subscription to another card that is paired to an unused S*y hd box. Setanta, bt sports and espn all clear on the s*y box but when I stick the card into the vu+ duo running Oscam r8096 only bt sports clears. When I check the entitlements, Setanta (C7A7) is not listed. How can this be? Is this the new anti CS measures that I am hearing about?

    Any ideas?

I can't change the pin because I am not a subscriber to S*y.
I changed the blocknano = all but still no joy. This is the error message I'm getting.

    What does it all mean????????????????

Lads, I know this section is filling up with help requests for updating expired cards and I should do some reading BUT that's what I've been doing for the last week. No joy. This is me throwing in the towel and admitting that oscam is kicking my arse. I need help.
I have a Setanta subscription on an old Sly card. I'm running oscam on its own with dvbapi. I don't have an old box to use for updating. What channel do I need to leave the box on to clear? I have been leaving it on Setanta.
Here's my configs, hope you can help.

OK, so rather then give each remote reader their own separate group, I put them all in group 2 and put my local in group 1. Then all the users are given group 1 except for my user which is in both 1 and 2. So the way I figure it is I can access every server and they can only access mine. It seems to be working fine, no complaints yet, EXCEPT..............
This should probably be in its own thread but one of my peers informed me my IP was wide open. The routers firewall was set to low but when I set it to either medium or high Oscam will not connect to anyone. I've added the vu+'s mac address to the list of trusted computers, nothing changed. Also the firewall plugin does not install from the Vix feeds. Ideas?

Right the load-balencer needed to be changed. Will leave it over night and check the stats but they seem to be going up slower. Considering 7000 in one hour was too many what kind of number is normal?

Story Fellow, I'm back, with more problems.
First things first, thanks for the help so far. I added some new peers with fast ecm times and the glitching is not so bad now BUT...
I have had a couple of peers complain about me overloading their severs. Apparently I took 7000 ecm in 1 hour from one.
From what I read this is the problem with oscam, it reads every card all the time. I've set cccmaxhops = 3 and cccreshare = 1 on all the readers. Is this enough? Is there any other setting I could change?
I've a sneaky feeling that optimizing Oscam may well be a never ending adventure!

There are a few problems with ViX at the minute m8, I'm not sure if these are related.
What premium channels are you having the problem with?

Are any of these premium channels on your local?
If not what kind of ecm times are you getting of peers?

Also m8, from manually installing cams before you heard about Linuxsat-Support-Addons Plugin, you might have a few conflicting scripts..
Would it be out of the question to reflash & start fresh? At least that way we will be able to say for sure if its ViX or your setup..

It certainly was not out of the question to reflash, I did and still the glitching. But then I installed the latest binary file (8906) and the glitching happens as often but not for as long, just a few mili seconds so it is watchable. Just a bit annoying but an improvment none the less. The channels on my local seem glitch free, its all the other chanels, like movies, sport and FTV channels that glitch.
The ecm times never spike during a glitch, they're always around 0.2 to 0.4. But most of my peers seem to be hop2. Also the list of proxies in the status tab of the oscam webinf show some peers with hundereds of cards eg: "CONNECTED (1 of 856 cards)" Could these be pay servers?
Maybe I need some new peers?
    On we go.......

CCcam is uninstalled and I don't use newcamd. I went through all my peers and changed the mindown to 0. Peers are still all hop2 and premium channels still very glitchy. Also when the picture and audio freeze only the picture returns, I have to turn the digital down mix off and on to get the audio back. Not sure if this is related to oscam or vix.

OK so I am up and running and my peers seem happy BUT some channels are very glitchy, Sly Movies in particular. Every few minutes the picture freezes for a few seconds and the sound drops out. Also all my peers seem to be on hop 2, I'm not seeing any of their locals as hop1? Is this normal?

    BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    NICE ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks a million.
Got it working. Why didn't I know about this plugin before, would have saved me weeks of heartache.
Now I have to figure out how I share with my peers.
    Tips?

"That looks OK to me, have you a log extract showing you trying to clear a channel?"

When I change the channel to setanta these lines popped up
