If its an original Vu+ there is no way of flashing trough the rs232 port. You can only logon with putty and get some error logs by

typing "Init 4" and then enigma2. The good thing is if you find Plugin OpenVPN running you can stop the service and then get life back in the Solo2

In 950 of 1000 reboots there are no problem with OpenVPN but sometime it can block the whole startup and leave you with a lifless reciver.

Clones can be flashed through the rs232 port and often thats the problem, Clone crapp flashed with original Image and you get stuck with

bootscreen TV ;)

I don’t know if openvpn is on or off as the box was in a bricked mode when I received it from the guy.

Yes it’s original Vu+ solo2 box and I got another solo2 which is a clone. I can’t check if the openvpn settings is on or off it’s in bricked mode.

Right I got the pc all setup and I’m ready. Can someone please help me on teamviewer as I got on flashing experience on pc ?

Thanks everyone for suggestions I’m just waiting on pc at moment,yes the power has no problem as the blue round light comes on the left but no screen display,does anyone know the procedure of the rs232port?ive got two of these doing the same thing it’s not reading memory stick maybe pc will work if not I’ve had enough lol I’ve been trying past 3 days and my head feeling numb with all info,I will post when pc is here hopefully it works thanks

I’m buying them used from eBay the guys said it doesn’t boot up and needs a flash I tried with usb sticks yesterday and had no luck. Im going to get a pc today of a friend and try with rs-323 if someones willing to help me because I haven’t used rs cable before to flash.

I sent the others back who I bought from on eBay.

Well the chips are cheap on eBay nand ones i seen then about £2 or £3 I think.

I haven’t got a pc im getting off a friend tomorrow so I will try that first the rs232 port if it don’t work I will change chip I got bad near vision lol and pins look really small I don’t think you solder pins separately?in video it looks as if he just smears solder all over pin not individually,thanks to everyone you guys have been of great help

I’m going to try another usb I’ve only got 15gb smallest just low formating at moment then I will give it a another go so no light on usb when in box is bad?on the box only the blue round light on no digital display I’m having bad luck with these vu boxes my zgemma was straightforward,very interesting video I think I can do that but we will try pc next as I think it’s bricked

Hi I’ve format low level usb from website above usb has light on it but don’t flash in box in laptop it flashes,I have all cables unplugged and had only power leads on but it’s doing nothing,my usb is sandwiched 16gb, it seems like box is not reading usb,these boxes seem like a lot of headache lol thanks for helping

There’s two connectors on hdd unit I took both off put usb in back and flashed box ATV 6.1 but still dead did you mean take every connector of I.e the the two screen connectors near the front of box as well as fan connectors or just hdd connectors because I tried that already thanks for your time

I think mine is genuine can someone tell me what to do if flashing don’t work like some tool to install as box not showing digital display at all thanks for input guys.

Is there any other Procedure to flash Vu+ boxes or is there a bootloader for them to get them started again ?

I got two solo2 boxes and they do the same thing. I don’t know how do I tell

yh I was having same problem with the ultimo4k I sent that box to the guy and got a full refund.

hello everyone im stuck my solo2 box doesn't show anything on the display screen except that purple round touch screen light can anyone please help me I have tried every image flashing on it and still don't start up. does this mean I have to use RS323 port ?

Yeah it works on my pc and iPad and iPhone. But it doesn’t work in your plugin iptv player with the enigma2 box.

Second is nothing i can do with teamview since we have no network on the Reciver.

But i have attached an OpenPli image redy to force flash.

Just unpack to your formated usbstick "win32" and try to flash with this image.

If this dont work then something is wrong with the flash memory and you need hands on help to fix that
