Like in the official forum just promisses and nothing else for the U4 costumers :(
I think you are right mate, i keep checking back and another promise for week and never happens.
i have now moved on, back to enigma based box and not a U5.

Sad to read, @disisdavo , seems dead the support for U4 :'(
Lets hope they have some free time in the future for those that have u4's. they have said they will release src and howto for standard oscam so i will keep fingers crossed for this. i have 2 of these and a heap of mates have bought them, they make nice KODI boxes for them. I have suggested hold off on the u5 to them until we know we can compile oscam for it otherwise the box is not for us. im leaning towards VU at the moment myself.

Just curious as its still my favourite cam and for me over the years been the most stable. just not working and needs a few minor adjustments. if around id like to say Gday.

as this box needs modified version of oscam to work i am giving up LOL
I have compiled many versions that i can get to run and configure but the dvbapi does not work, i just cant get the implementation of the dvbapi/hilisicon right.
I know the developers were trying to get something working for the public however my patience and interest has gone.
A base svn version of oscam with NO modifications added, eg... sky, emu, irdeto or webif changes.
the version released has way to many modifications that breaks the normal options within oscam.
i have decided to move onto another box to play with, i was contemplating the u5 however with the time i have spent on the u4 i cant bring myself to attempt the u5. It looks like a sensational box.
If you ever get to releasing a compiled version of oscam without all the other stuff id appreciate it being uploaded here or a link. but for now my 2 u4's will go back in drawer.

Hi all.
i have just installed the latest image from here for the u4 by renaming it to update.zip and placing it on drive.
i then downloaded the SU and renamed it to update.zip and followed the onscreen update.
on rebooting, i go into apps and SuperSU Pro says needs updating i try it and it comes up saying Installation failed. im not sure if the howto auto root needs updating or not, but SU is not enabled after trying many times, like 4in total
any thing i may have missed please inform me.

Hi all,
im wondering if anyone has the environment setup to compile for this box inclusive of the "Hilscion" SDK etc.
I finally got another of these boxes and would love to have a stock standard oscam with working dvbapi to play with not with the extra mods already in the images. because this version has modified bits that i use/need. even if someone can compile a SVN version working with dvbapi for a test in the meantime please.
If anyone can guide me through setting up the environment, i have googled and tried a few things to no avail, i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.
i realise the developers are quite busy and with the new U5 they will only get busier.
if there is anyone with some spare time to guide me through i'm happy on skype or other means.
a step by step guide would be great i haven been unable to locate anything that actually works. I know the developers are working on an oscam svn version however waiting is killing me.

appreciate it, if there is anyway i could get even just base oscam src patch upto current revision other things like softcam.keys etc not of interest to myself. just the ability to use oscam/dvbapi standard on this great little box.

the version with the image some of the functions are not working the disablecwcrc for instance does nothing. and a couple of other things i have payed with. maybe can they compile a standard latest version with dvbapi support as an option if they dont want to share the src.

Hey all, I would love to be able to compile and run oscam dvbapi on this box. the one that came installed has the hiskey mod. is there a public or private patch just to get the dvbapi working. Im happy to implement other changed to code for other features i require.
I have tried in the early days of getting one of these to play with and had no joy even after managing to root the box, my compiled versions of oscam wound run dvbapi.
