This didn't work for me in new Blackhole 3.0.1 image. Just showing all Cool TV Guide screens too small and unable to increase the sizes enough in the menus.

Hi, I am trying to tune in to the Physique TV channel but I am unable to pick it up in a scan.
I do a scan on Badr 4/5/6 (26.0E) and it picks up around 400 channels but Physique TV is not in the list, I have tried several times.
I am using an up to date satellite .xml file and the frequency for this channel is listed in the xml file

I am using a VU+ Duo 2 with Blackhole 2.9 installed and doing a manual scan of that particular satellite. One thing I have noticed while scanning and it gets up to the frequency 10930,
it only seems to be looking for DVB-S not DVB-S2 which Physique TV is.
Here is the info about the channel.

MyHD
Satellite Arabsat (Badr-5)

Frequency: 10930

Polarization: Vertical

Symbol Rate: 27500 KS/s

FEC: 3/4

Transmission Standard: DVB-S2
Modulation: 8PSK

Any ideas anyone?

You have to enter your long/lat settings in the tuner configuration settings for each enabled satellite as we'll and make sure use usals is set to yes for each enabled satellite and the dish should automatically move and lock on when you change satellites. You can use Satfinder to move the dish to your enabled satellites and check signal and lock status.

No m8 I originally got the dvb c tuner to record mainstream fta tv to free up the other 2 dvb s tuners but as I learned how to get the cable channels I just wondered how far I could go with it.
I knew cable package wasn't available off my server I just didn't understand how the cable side worked encryption wise.

Just to be clear, im using CCam and a cline from a Satellite server, would I be able to use the same Ccam to decrypt the new Cable channels if so what would I need to do as most of the cable channels I found are encrypted and black.

Its OK mate I haven't needed to do that anyway, I did what you said and was then presented with options to search for providers which I didn't have before. Im now doing a scan its 49% done and I have found 443 channels so far. Brilliant !
Now im wondering if encrypted channels found here would work using the softcam I have installed for Satellite CCam 2.2.1 I think it is or do cable channels use a different softcam altogether?

OK I have an old Tivo box and a V+ box from them. Tried the Tivo the other day and it wouldn't hardly let me do anything just took ages updating itself. Tried the V+ today and found the working channels.
I will ftp the file over now bud and see what happens, then i will get the V+ box back out the loft and do what you said.

No mate I didn't know I had to i thought it was a case of just scanning for channels, i'm new to the cable side of things. Also i'm not sure of the correct Net ID or frequency for my area i haven't been able to find the correct info on this, i'm in Teesside. Any help with these 2 things would be great.
I found my old Virmin cable box earlier and tried it and was able to get channels 1,2,3,4,5 OK so at least i know the line is active and OK.

Hi, I have just purchased a Vu+ Duo 2 and got a DVB C/T tuner with it hoping to be able to receive some FTA channels through Virmin cable but am unable to receive anything when I scan even when I do a complete scan.
I have had cable tv boxes from VM before and everything worked OK but this time I'm getting nothing coming through, the line is active as I have BB with them.
Any ideas anyone??

Guys I'm looking for some help with setting up a Multi EPG on my new Duo 2.
I'm using Blackhole 2.0.6.
On my old Etrend ET 9200 using Vix image I would just run Autobouquets and then after it did its thing I would press EPG on remote and it would all load up OK showing a similar EPG to Sly layout with program details and descriptions, brilliant.
Now on the Duo 2 I installed Autobouquets and it ran but I don't know how to get a similar setup going here. I have to press EPG then Multi EPG (Blue button) then pick a bouquet but then I just get a bog standard black and white list of channels that shows no program details or anything. I have tried a couple of EPG from the feeds and they were rubbish, Cool and Merlin I think.
I just want to be able to press EPG on the new remote and be taken straight into a decent multi EPG where I can scroll forward through the days and look at program info and set timers etc.
Been trying this for the last 2 days and going round in circles.
Any help guys?
