  • VU Duo Remote Control issue

    I have one of the older Duo remote controls which all of a sudden has a number of buttons not working. Buttons like the Blue key, exit, epg, channel up and down are not working but others are working. I have looked around but can't see anything that is similar. I have tried pressing 2 and 7 but that does not work. any thoughts? I don't mind buying a replacment control but want to be sure that the issue is not with the receiver. I use the Vix image 734, I believe.

  • Golden Media Triplex vs Amiko Alien 2

    I have been looking at these receivers and will decide to go for one of them. I understand that they are basically the same box but was wondering whether the images, cccam/oscam, plugins, channel lists etc can be used in either box or whether there is an ID issue that prevents that.


    The receivers appear to be cracking value for a twin tuner and possibility for UK terrestrial if they can make available the T2 version tuner.

    Perfect now sorted, thanks. Looks like there was an issue with my C line and a bit of confusion by me with the new image on the activation of the CCcam. Cheers.

    Has anyone got the CCCam working on Italysat 800 solo image? I have downloaded the file and started the CCCam using the blue button but it does not start, all that happens is that it goes back to "none". I have loaded the cfg file as normal on the etc folder but missing be missing something. Any ideas?

  • HDD Recordings

    I have been using VIX 2.3 image on my VU Duo, I tried both VTI and Blackhole images but could not access my recordings that I had done using the Vix image. Is there a way to resolve this or would I need to intialize on the VTI/BH image and thus lose all the recordings?

    The Gigablue 800 sounds good,thanks for the info. Hopefully you can help with a couple of questions


    1. Does the box accept standard Enigma 2 channel lists like Catseyes. VHannibal etc?
    2. Can you install Cool TV EPG or at least something similar to the VIX EPG?
    3. Is it easy to flash images through the USB?
    4. Can it play movies through USB and via another receive like VU+ Duo?

    Just cut and paste what I stated earlier into the file, it is a client only setup. Ths part is no different to what you would do with cccam for instance as long as you are familiar with FTP. Good luck.

    Using Filezilla or the like, got to var/etc and in there is the radar.cfg file that you edit. delete everything in there and add the C line.


    If using Oscam, FTP to var/oscam/conf and edit the oscam.server file. Delete everything and then add the following

    account = USER,PASSWORD - Add your own details here

    This works for me.

  • CCcam issue

    I am running CCCam 2.2.1 on a VU+ Duo using Vix image 2.1, with a JSC Card and a 1m motorised dish. My CCcam seems to stop on a daily basis and needs me to restart each time. Is there a very simple instruction for the system to detect that CCcam has stopped running, even when the receiver is on standby? I have read into scripts etc but have no clue as to what to do, hope someone can help.
