i couldn't revive my amiko box so decided to throw it away and get a new one. which is the best one to get? i mostly want it for football. ideally i want one which is close as possible in user friendly as the official sky box and best picture. i been told there is one called zgemma which is very simular to sky,

everything seems to work my laptop recognises when i connect the cables but when i click upgrade it just says data transfer failed

Ok are you using the recovery tool named "Make my STB alive 3612" as that number is the chipset for that specific receiver.
yes i am, iv loaded all the latests channel lists and firmware. all i get is messaage saying serial port status and then it says data transfer failed. on my device manager its showing up as com3 so i doubt its the cable thats the issue but saying tham the adaptor im using was from amazon and not the startech one

iv downloaded the tool make alive my stb to flash my amiko. when i click on upgrade i keep getting the massage unable to transfer data. am i using wrong cables or software? iv got the rs232 with 3.5mm jack and the follow cable which i use to connect the rs to my laptop via usb.
