did you install pcscd and pcsc-tools?
if not install those and then run

pcsc_scan that will give you your device id for oscam.
odds are it'll be 0 like mentioned above.

i only had my virgin installed yesterday, after waiting ages for fttc only for it to be delayed again! lol
i had the router ready to go, the hub didnt even get used i turned it to modem only right away.

i can recommend this router off ebay for only £30 (refurbished) WNR3500

best thing to do with the vm superhub is to ditch the router/wireless functions

set it to modem only and use your own router with it.

the dreamboxuk frontend will create bouquets for you
thers also rats / sgt flip flop bouquets you can load aswell.

dont bother sat searching its a waste of time, just upload some new bouquets.

why do u need to install opensc for the omnikey?

its never been needed before

i got it working in the end with NFS
samba is only needed if windows is in the mix, but it isnt for for me so NFS it is.

very simple to setup and get running, then just mounted the share as /media/hdd and viola :)

ive changed the recording paths and timeshift paths already etc but still cant record or timeshift to the server :(

i added a 2TB drive to my ubuntu server and installed samba on it, i want to have all my movies and stuff centralised and then connect to it with 2 tv boxes for streaming movies/music & recording. some timeshifting if need be.

ive removed the hdd from my ultimo and just use a usb stick in it for epg and picons.
i installed samba and nfs on my ultimo aswell. i have created a cifs connection to the server with the ultimo (network mounts) and im able to browse the server share and play things from it over the network, this is all ok. i ticked the option to have the server share as a /media/hdd replacement on the ultimo aswell.

ive created the movie and timeshift folder in the server share, so now in /media/hdd on my ultimo it shows the server share like a normal mounted hdd.

the only probs im having is i cant record to the server, or timeshift. when i press record and then select record, i get this message
" In order to record a timer, the tv was switched to the recording service" and nothing happens.
when i press timeshift nothing happens too.

im sure ive got all the permissions right in samba on the server and the mount permissions in settings on the ultimo.

does anyone else use a similar setup and can do this successfully??

as you are building pli 2.1 grab the md5 for it aswell, if you cant find it just create 1 for it with md5sum

if your building pli3.0 just grab the file.

put the files into your sources folder and re-run the makefile

im trying to make oscam reject sids from my reject group and allow everyhting else also keeping some services to specific readers etc.

instead of having many many groups to manage with sids etc. i think a reject group would be easier. imo anyway.

in my rejected services group are the sids from SBO, INTERNATIONAL, ADULT, RACINGUK, CHELSEATV, PRIMETIME, everyhting else is allowable.

when i have tried it earlier i was getting timeouts galore and lots of invalids etc so its a services settting somewhere im not sure.

this doenst help but im just curious as to why would you use lb (loadbalancing) settings on 2 totally different cards ?

more modifications to the layout of other screens (plugins, movies etc)

xfer lcd_picons to /media/usb or /media/hdd or /usr/share/enigma2
xfer lcd folder to /usr/share/enigma2 and overwrite any files.
xfer xml file to /usr/share/enigma2 and overwrite the existing one.

once done, restart e2.

for vix 2.4 + 3.0 image only.

sudo ./configure --enable-shared=no
sudo make
sudo make install

then for omnikey do this:-
sudo apt-get install pcscd
sudo apt-get install pcsc-tools

once done

lsusb will give you your device id for oscam (for eg: 001:005)
pcsc_scan will show you your omnikey readers use 0 + 1 in oscam

u dont need opensc for smargo either
