I have an Edision Os Mini with OpenATV 5.1.

I'm trying to locate the source file for /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/HdmiCec.pyo.

I've found what I think is the right respository at github (https://github.com/openatv/enigma2) and have located the Source file (HdmiCec.py) but I'm not sure which version matches the one on my box which is a factory standard OpenATV 5.1 machine.

Hope someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

    Robert

I am trying to debug a problem I am having with HDMI-CEC functionality on the OS Mini (OpenATV 5.1).

Basically none of the settings in the HDMI-CEC Setup menu are working to wake the Edision when the LG TV is powered on. I have found one that works which is setting the Wakeup Signal to be 'Any activity' but that overdoes it and turns the box on whilst the TV is off

I subsequently found this to be because of the constant HDMI CEC vendor broadcast from the TV every 10 seconds even when in standby.

I need to locate the source file for /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Components/HdmiCec.pyo.

As I understand it I might be able to get this if I 'opkg install enigma2-src' however this seems a little overkill for viewing and maybe editing 1 file.

Is the source file (HDMICec.py) available separately? Not sure if the general enigma2 one will match the OpenATV 5.1 file currently compiled on this factory fresh system?

I've just setup a new OS Mini and accessed WebIf through a browser and noticed that the labels are all in German.

How do you select a different language?

OK just figured it out, the system needed a reboot to refer to the default language set on the box.

Thanks for the info master G and dazza19.

Enigma2 sounds good, I like the webif option... looking into a Edision OS Mini.

master G: re the CamoFS-IP Cam Surveillance Plugin. That seems to just be a viewer for other cameras on the ip network. I am looking to plug in a USB webcam into the Enigma2 box and then access it's stream on a different network client/pc which I don't think that plug-in is designed to do?

Noticed that Enigma2 has access to the IPKG repository which I have experience with on openwrt. Is there a published list of available repository packages online?

Re device, I am looking to buy any device that fits my requirements so would like recommendations for which device can accept a webcam connection.

I would like to plug in a usb webcam into the device for remote tech support and management of the box so that I can see what happens on screen when I am not in front of it.

All I really need is uvc video drivers in the linux kernel and wonder if any technically minded linux person can confirm if the uvc drivers are available in any of the custom firmwares to help narrow down my search for finding a suitable box.

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a satellite box that would accept a usb webcam to stream over the lan?

Is anyone aware of any box that can do this? A built in webcam would be even better!

    Cheers

    Robert

More specifically, does anyone know if there is a receiver that has available images/firmware built with UVC video drivers and audio drivers in the kernel?
