never used devil linux, but ive been using this for years with excellent results https://www.ipfire.org/
I cant see a distro that runs from a usb drive being up to much to be honest, running a vpn is very cpu intensive and with a lot of read/writes a usb drive wont be last that long
true but as firewall/vpn/dns its easy as a p3 tbh :)
but6 tha facility to run your own VPN keys is ...... only way moving forward for any network sir :) ;)
just sayng shadow brokeers cant get past that above :P

whats the scope of having a chan list down loader for various platforms for use withing kodi for dvb-* ?
would be a nice addition for the droid/mars/u4/5/win/linux/mac/pi & many others out there to change lists ,
im sure its been done before by a certain guy who ended up converting his stb to e2 from hybrid droid ;)
they updated to the add-on server a converted e2 list and you updated via the add-on update the pvr chan list within kodi .
and theres plenty of list avail on here to include for various devices that could utilize this within Kodi(should not use this owned by sly),osmc,spmc or other forks -

online update achoo if its a sd box stick a zero at front or that number that wont fit ;)
org stb required for update card in there in on live feed wait upto 2 days for it to hit but norm a wait of 2 hrs nd a forced update on stb will do it ;)
forced update is a combo of buttons on stb whilst sticking in power to org stb -

BTW Cable Feed wire RG-7 Was public and then take by the MIL for some reason:
Theyre simply sending engineers out to do "disconnects" which they do simply by walking up to the Cable from Ground to F Splitter Box at your home and sticking a -50 or -100dB attenuator on the line/signal and if they think youre a risky type; they snip the actual cable at your Tee; but they pull it out a little and snip it so it appears to be OK on your quick inspection or they remove and re-insert your connected line at the Hub/Green Node into the Null F Shelf:
Best way around it is to remove and then add your own or place the clean address cables tags on yours and insert into the correct F Box from the main cable to the Nodes with someone you know who pays: (Which is on a sheet behind the Node Door)
ALL Red Tags are Paid and Internet enabled and Orange are disconnected and green are to be "re-examined" for Leaks or possible "signal theft" (Current colours coded here)
thing is connections active without certain services are detected as im sure you know via the 10mg teivo system checks n balances in all that jazz ;?)

for under the balcony just use any steel with holes drilled threw it on ensuring the mount cant move left top right ;) -
i use smartydns for vpn and dns, easy to set up cheap and always doing deals
theres a free 7 day, also iv had it working on the zgemma and router, 3 months is just over 7 quid
they look ok ae , no logs to but dont know if thats a full no logs as some no log suppliers are and have gace logs as im sure some have read upon here :)
whats the max users on smart dnsvpn had a look on there site but could not see a limit of max user on the vpn account i see you said that you had 2 running so know more than 1 but dio you know the max user ?
also notice they giving 50% 2nd package aswell :) -
