Your Solo2 have a better picture then the Octagon

I had VU+ for years, both SOLO and DUO but now I've had 2 Octagon SF8008 boxes for the last 2 years and the Octagon has a BETTER picture than the VU+ boxes ..... and I had MANY technical problems with the VU+ boxes. They were POOR quality design and build and FAR too expensive.

Very happy with the SF8008 boxes .. apart from the total lack of (an English) user manual to give the users info over the 100's of possible user settings. It seems the manufacturer doesn't expect users to need or want to actually USE the possible setting. Very annoying.

I've got 2 x Octagon SF8008 boxes where the screen is Pixelating / breaking up when there are Moving Images on screen.

This is happening mainly on UK IPTV channels ... Dutch and American channels don't show this problem.

Are there any setting that can reduce/erase this problem?

I don't see this, there is no refreshing when I scroll. Please explain more how this is happening.

Also, any particular reason why you are using 8.0 instead of 8.1

The new receiver came with 8.0 installed...
I've just gone and checked it on a 2nd receiver (same) I have and the refreshing DOESN'T happen on that one ..🤒
So there's either a setting I need to find .. or there's a SW issue between the two.

However I'd still like to get Cool TV Guide working ..

I used it till about 3 years ago and I far preferred it.

Cool TV Guide appearing for only Milliseconds

Years ago on an old Enigma2 OpenPli 6.0 software, I used Cool TV Guide .. but after a software update it stopped working.
Later I tried it on another receiver with OpenPli 7 ... it also didn't work.

I've now bought a new receiver with OpenPli 8 and want to use Cool TV Guide but it ALSO doesn't work.

I have now downloaded and installed version 7.6 but when I try to use Cool TV Guide, it only flashes for a few milli-seconds and disappears.

Has anyone any idea for a solution?

Previous receiver VU+ Duo2 2K (also didn't work on OpenPli 6 or 7)

When trying to use COOLGUIDE, I press the EPG button, the Coolguide screen flashes up for a few milliseconds and disappears.
If I try to use any of the other Coolguide screens via Longpress EPG the same happens.
I've removed the Coolguide plugin and then reinstalled it .. same problem.

It USED to work.

Anyone any idea???

If not, is there another decent EPG Plugin?

It shows me using Enigma 2017-10-08 release 4. Kernal version 3.13.5

Theres nowhere in any information residing on the Vu+ box / Enigma that mentions image / version / addons etc

I'm looking for a more STABLE live TV streaming than I've now got.

Currently using XtreamTV by Xtream-Codes ... VERY UNSTABLE, definitely with UK Sky TV.

I need to load Kodi onto my Vu+ Duo2 however I've not found any way to do it yet.. can anyone help.

The box is running Enigma 2

Nowhere in the plugins on my installation is there any reference at all to be able to download a Kodi plugin.
