Agreed it's great work. No point saying don't update though, that makes an image pretty useless.
Tried updating via telnet just incase it was a similar bug to ages ago with vu images where updates via gui failed, same issue.
Have a feeling its due to the age of the original image, other images warn if the image is too old to online update, vix doesn't but I bet it's the same problem.
!!! Today tried to update fw to 4.2.027 (last fw) ==> blocked => so don't update this backup.
Same here. Downloads the .028 updates, reboots, sticks on openvix/ please wait.. splash screen.
I can telnet into the box, tried to just reboot via the console, but straight back to the splash screen and hang.

Anyone know if any of the current test UHD channels, broadcast HDR?
I have an LG OLED65E6V which handles HDR no problem, but can't find any channels to kick HDR mode in.
I can play 4k HDR media files via the device and it changes to HDR mode on the TV, so thats a good sign I think!

I have tried different hdmi setting but
reboot Solo 4K is only solution.
Try an image with the latest drivers, it seems to have gotten better.
Also I tried a 3rd HDMI lead and it seems (so far) to be very stable now.
Sounds like tv setup ie; Refresh Rate
Definitely nothing to do with sofcams

Yeah I was surprised when I read in another thread that changing mgcamd config sorted it...must have been a different issue I guess.
Any mode on the TV is fine, except 2160p. I've tried multi refresh rate and 50/60 on their own - still the same. The only thing which stops it is dropping back to 1080p which is a waste.
It can go for hours with no issues, then it just goes and once it starts it plays up most of the time.
Every single image I try I have these issues, hoping someone can help?
Sony Bravia KD65X8509C TV.
Tried multiple high speed HDMI cables and different ports.
Have HDMI set to advanced on the TV.
Issues when VU+ set to 2160p:
1) TV info is shown now and then and a drop in sound for a split second - like a HDMI handshake issue?
2) Sound continues but image freezes but flickers/goes crazy - I saw another thread where some fixed this by changing CCcam version in mgcamd config - I don't use mgcamd however, only OSCAM.
Same on every image, driving me crazy to the point where I leave it now set to 1080p which seems a waste!
Any ideas?
Thanks for the great settings as usual! Question...are these available anywhere to download automatically particularly in the Black Hole images? The ones in the BH Addons server are always out of date (current ones are 1st April) for example :(
