Hi yall I see there is this DefineOS program in the Octagon 8008 Supreme and was wondering,is this available for other E2 boxes.I don't know much about it.Thanks C.H.

Thanks masterG for helping me "dust off" this box which has been collecting it for about 5 years. You were of immense help and thank you again.CH

Using the open webinterface, can you put the afn keys into the oscam under otherfiles/softcam?I don't have the option to put in a password in the OE image.

I can't get the box to accept the files using an usb stick,so I used the ftp option on the DCC and directed the transfer via the computer. When I went to the telnet option I copied and pastes the command you showed me and the files loaded in.When I was trying to send the files with the ftp option,I kept seeing this small box flash on the screen for a split second,It was too fast to read and maybe the deb files did transfer, but I don't see them using DCC.What is this user/pass question I see in the ftp option?
-
I don't see any files when I connect with the box via ftp using DCC.I do see the file 11715 emu in the list in the uninstall options in the box.In the DCC ftp screen,it is asking for a login with user and password.
-
Well I tried the ipk file and I couldn't get them into the box.The file that is in the box is a deb file 11715.Should I re flash the box to remove it?
-
I tried to ftp the ipk file(enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11715emu-r798_all. deb and iibcur14 ipk) ,but the receiver is telling me it cannot because of a collected error.
-
The file enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam_11715emu-r798_all. deb is not needed to be loaded into the box? Thanks
-
I flashed a newer image O.E. 6.8 this morning and the file are all gone. Now should I just one of the ipk packages? Thanks for help CH

I checked the box and it is still blank. It is saying it cannot install softcam.I can see the oscam and ncam files in box via DCC.Everytime I copy and paste the command line you sent me,I see the program load in the root, but the old cortex 15hf-neon-vfpv4.ipk comses up at the end.It is also telling there is too many errors and it failed to download libcur14.
-
It is asking for a selection of 13 options on the telnet screen.
-
I can access the box via webif and the DCC program. The port being used is 8888.When I use the DCC program,I can see the ipk items in the box.In the Main menu Extra setup/Cam setup/Softcam configuration ,the box says that oscam 11.438 is current.I am at a loss.
-
Thank you again master G.CH
I can access the box via webif, but I can't call up the oscam status page.
-
I went looking for the softcam keys which I had place in the box early on(before installing the ipk file) and the keys were gone.I have gone to the webinterface and it isn't working.I will read some more before I ask you for more help. Thanks CH

master G Would deleting the files present and starting again be a better approach?By no means was I questioning your knowledge on the way these receivers operations. It can frustrate those whom have limited computer skiills.CH

I did rescan the transponder .Are you telling me that the box won't recognize a transponder info even after rescan unless the info is on a satellite xml file?I rescanned the satellite again and all I see is a dark screen on the PV channels. If I go in and delete all file (opkg delete/temp/*.ipk files.will that clear the slate and make it possible to restall the suggested file? Thanks
-
Okay I did what you said, all I see is on a PV channel it tells me the SID is wrong and after a rescan of the transponder, nothing.
-
Okay It is telling me the package is done and install, would I be doing anything else? Thanks

I downloaded the file on a USB stick and inserted into the receiver and nothing.I then ,using the DCC control program transferred the file to var/volatile/tmp using ftp.I see it in the box showing attributes 644,does it need switching to 755?Also does it matter the was transferred using ftp instead of telnet?Sorry to be asking all these questions.CH
