Once again, thanks for the links, really can't overstate how they are helping my understanding of how things work.
I don't have a local, but I believe I am seeking a 'line' from someone (not keys).
Would my understanding be correct - if I got a 'line' from someone then I can modify the config file to include the correct details in order to decode channels that I may be interested in (mainly Sports and Movies, etc...)?
ok, I have managed to extract the .rar file and using WINSCP FTP program copied the oscam.conf and oscam.server into - 'etc/tuxbox/config' of my box.
I then could access the Softcam Manager and was able to Start the OScam Latest.
Any tips on the next steps?

Hi Master G, thanks for the tips - I have followed my PlugIn Browser > Install Plugins and Downloaded 'Oscam-latest(1.20+svn 11398-r766)'.
I restarted the box and expected this Oscam to appear in the Plugins - but its not there. Did I not download it correctly?

I am a real noob at this, just purchased a VU+ Duo 2 box and have installed a Open Vix image.
I scanned for channels and received nearly a 1,000 channels. But I would like to learn more about cams and emulators I guess!?
