On my AmikoAlien 2+ box MgCamd 1.38d is working quite well, no need for other cams, the line goes in usr/keys/cccamd.list and make sure in usr/keys/mg_cfg the box type is (00) . I've set it on(11) and works , when the MgCam is installed the default is (06) dreambox/mips so you must change it
Worked. well on Mgcamd by changing the Box type to 11. never worked on 00.
I also got it working on Oscam aswell.. but wanted it on Mgcamd.

by the way i have got Oscam ymod 18.54 softcam
in the Basic Oscam file u have added its just got 3 files in there. on my box iv got the oscam.dvbapi file aswell. shall i just replace them with the ones i have got , or shall i leave the dvbapi in there
I have also checked the Softcam Panel - i selected the Mgcamd and the Mgcamd details are showing in the ECM info - so i knw mgcamd line works but no picture showing. on old posts it did say on the Alien 2 box u can only use oscam
in the ymod folder i have 5 files. well 1 is a oscam.keys folder and 4 files config / dvb / server / user and i have just amended the server file with my line. not changed anything else.

Help need on the Softcams..
Box was working fine on VM - with Vix4project image running Oscam , then Removed and added OpenAtv 6.1 6.2 / But no look. Added Oscam ymod and other oscams but cant get channels to come on. added mgcamd still no joy.
On box added the oscam line in the oscam.server line which was in keys also added magcamd. restated softcam but no look. im good with the Zgemma box but cant get it to work again on the Amiko Alien 2 - Spark.
i have added OpenATV 6.1 again there was no Softcam feeds so added - OpenATV sodtcam feeds univeral 3.0 - got magcamd / oscam ymod in panel but nothing working.
What am i doing wrong.
hi mate. iv just seen ur mail.. yes u r right. thats the thermistor, even thu the legs r bent just try wrapping a thin wire round the legs, make sure the wire is wrapped proper round the legs
Hi mate. I cant get my cline to work on s16 box. Cant put it using usb. When i put it manualy it says connecting/logging then disconnect. How did u get it working wiv Sly uk
install chineese version then after u have installed it, press menu, do down to third box, then across, then ok, then press the right or lest arrow untill the language changes to english... but the cccam aint working yet

NOW TO FIND OUT FIRST IF ANY OF THESE FAULTS ARE ON YOUR BOX,!!
1.WORKING UNTIL WARM,
2.WORKS ON HORIZONTAL POLL OF DISH BUT NOT VERTICAL OR VERY FEW CHANNELS WORK ON V-POLL.
3.NO SIGNAL FULL STOP ONCE WARMED UP..!
IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE 3 THEN THIS IS THE FAULT..
S9,S10,S11 LOOK AROUND THE TUNER, THERE WILL BE A THERMISTOR WHICH FAILS IN ALL THESE BOXS ITS LOCATED AROUND THE SHARP TUNER,
YELLOW & ROUND WITH 2 LEGS NORMALLY MARKED ON THE BOARD AS (F1) ANOTHER WORDS A FUSE,! BUT ITS NOT ITS MORE OF A TEMP FUSE,!
THIS FAILS AND BREAKS DOWN,, YOU CAN EITHER BRIDGE A PIECE OF WIRE FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER OF F1 OR REPLACE WITH A NEW
THERMISTOR.!!!
i had the problem with my box to for months, after a bit it used to come up with no signal.
now its working good. i just used a piece of wire and looped the f1 thermistor and it works 100%.linuxsat-support.com/cms/attachment/13853/
