I think this plugin is only for compressed xmltv file, if i edit an url with .xml at the end, the plugin download the xml file in source folder and then, that's not working
its nothing to do with compessed / uncompressed. its that many open sources (incl GenIPTV) have stopped updating epg via those urls.
You need to find your own sources that work and add them into the list
However i check my xml file source and there is epg up to date but not showing
That issue could be down to epg-importer or your device. for example on my newer 4k box the epg works perfectly however on my older hd box with exactly same settings the epg data from Jedi EPG Xtream is hit and miss. older box is only backup so not an issue but shows there can be differences
