Hello all, not sure if i have a problem with the octogon sf8 or the remote, box is used for freesat channels but now cant change channel easily.

Is it likely to be the box or remote, if the remote is more likely the problem can you use a URC instead?

Hi All, I have a friend who has recently purchased a solo se v2 , he had a message pop up on his screen (attached in photo)
bobby and digger are gonna screw your box and theres nothing you can do about it.
It now appears he can only get free to air channels, as soon as he switches to subscription channel, (any satellite) signal immediately goes to zero
I have reflashed the box with latest VIX re-installed cccam and fresh bouquet but I think something has been screwed with in the boot sector, is it fixable?
message has not came back so far and box is no longer visable on the web!! [

Hi Master G mounted as /media/usb, I presume if you reverse the commands it would move it back to usb. Symlink was done in DCC.

I have moved my extensions folder to the usb to free up some space, used DCC to symlink but now from the plugins menu I can see nothing, (using latest vix image) any help appreciated :-)

cazuela, I updated the bootloader to 3 and are fairly certain its ok as it runs blackhole 2.1 with no problems.
@Meerkat, any reason for version 055, I have tried 057 and 059?

Ok, bit of an update, it will also load latest standard VU image, I tried other OEE images such as openPLI and openATV but these also get stuck on the starting screen

None of the images have any problems during the flashing process

Hi All,
Recently woke up my VU duo had obviously tried to re-boot and was stuck on the starting screen.
Tried to re-boot a number of times to no avail (I believe it was running Apollo 2.2) so thought I would take the opportunity to update to latest. Had exactly the same problem even though bootloader was updated to latest
I reverted to Blackhole image 2.1 and all loaded fine, tried vix again and same problem, stuck at starting, did bootloader again and fresh flash of vix, same problem.
I have now doenloaded latest Blackhole and all flashes ok, would prefer vix so any help appreciated.

(its original not a clone)

Hi All, according to lyngsat, some transponders have a C/N of 5.5 and others 6.5 etc, my question is why can i tune a particular transsponder with a C/N of 5.5 but not others of the same?
For example:10873 V 27500 fec 3/4 i get a 60% signal with agc 99% and ber 0% but on 10723 H 29900 fec 3/4 i get 0% signal

Any help appreciated.

When i try to load the factor image, it goes through all the normal (ish) stuff then stops at insert CI, is it possible to pass this without a CI.

Hi All, Bought an Octogon SF8 for my parents for xmas, loaded VIX on it as i have this on my VU DUO, both have the same VIX revision both have the same cccam version and both have the same Cline (provider), problem is when the octogon freezes it takes anything between 10 and 20 seconds to clear again where as the duo takes milliseconds, ecm times are nearly identical on both boxes at around 0.2.

Any help appreciated

Thanks, I just retuned my second tuner and now have lost the SID in PAT but no picture, progress, probably down to provider now ;-)

Hi All, i have a VU duo (running latest VIX) and always managed to get channel 5HD...now all i get is the SID not found in PAT, i have manually scanned the frequencies from lyngsat and its in the satellite channel list, if i go to sat finder it shows a signal of 67% which is about average for my set up

Hi All, i have blackhole 2.06 installed to flash and decided to put VIX on usb via meoboot, all was well and VIX started fine but after a restart it would not load, it was selected on meoboot screen started to boot, looked like it was goin to then just got stuck with Vu+ on the display. open VIX version is 3.204.

Any help appreciated
