Just to be mentioned,a swapfile up to 2GB is recommended on STB's which are able to run Kodi 20.x.
Always to be created either on HDD or USB-Drives.

You may try to set the Amount of Entries per bouquet to 5 Numbers in the settings of ATV.Default is 4 Numbers.
I guess there are more than 9999 Entries in the big file.

I pointed in former Version of the plgin to a Folder with 1600 Movies sorted in Folders A-Z,0-9.
They have been recognized all and the plugin worked fine except the hazzle with HD/FHD Resolution sometimes.
But this was with ATV 6.4.
I assume there is something wrong to store Plugin adjustements into the settingsfile
and with this spinner while searching it is unusable.
I let the Box run once i was searching the DB and switched off the TV.
After 3h i switched the TV on and there was a screen "Database finished" or similar.
The Result was poor, 283 out of 1600, so i let the Search run again, now with 1400 Goals.
But all Movies starting with Numbers e.g 300, 2012, Odyssee 2010 and so on have been missing.
So far a small report.

Why did you change the Headline in plugin.py from
#-*-coding:utf-8* -*- #original Plugin from Kashmir last Version
to
#-*- coding: latin-1 -*- ?
this might cause Problems with foreign characters?

Image, Box, Architecture, py2 or py3? Those Details would be helpful, to help you.
e.g. ATV 7.2 uses libavdevice 59 with python 3.

i like to confirm that Version enigma2-plugin-extensions-embydream_0.0+git15+1390613-r72_cortexa15hf-neon-vfpv4.ipk
runs fine with OpenATV 7.2 on AX HD61.

I will give it atry , timed for tonight late now.
But i doubt this solves the Problem with the special characters in German Language, maybe you have a suggestion for this too.
Films starting with Numbers in the Filename aren't recognized/shown neither.
my structure is
Foldertree starting with 0-9,A-Z
Folder containing media have all this structure.
for example,
Folder: 300 (2007)
Media: 300 (2007).mp4
Cover: 300 (2007).jpg
Filmdescription: 300 (2007).txt
we talk about 200 Movies not shown , all containing either Numbers or the ger Characters in the Titel
Hopefully you find the point in this massive piece of code.

Hi, I have AX HD61 with ATV 7.2 in use.
Regarding the Version babsy98 offered in #107 I noticed a Spinner while updating the Database, the Box seems frozen.
If there are a bunch of Movies in the Search path Folder, this might last a long time to stay.
I switched off TV to avoid Burn in effects, and the Plugin finishes after a long while (900 Movies - 3 hrs), with more or less poor Results
In former Versions with py2, you could demand it into the Background, this does not work anymore.
Secondly, as I use German Language for Search, there are Problems discovering the typical German Letters
ä, ö, ü as e.g. München, Köln, Ärger...
I do not complain, just report, maybe this can be proved by someone else, and fixed.

No, the Problem is the wrong plugin Path in the .ipk
the install Path points to /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugin/extensions/FreeServer , this is wrong.
It should be /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/FreeServer instead, adding s to Plugin and Capital Letter at Extensions.
It would be nice to offer a reworked new .ipk file, thx in Advance.

copied the Folder and it seems to work just fine on openATV 7.0.
Would be very nice if you find the time to provide the ipk for py3 (for feeding the feed),

openatv 7.0 is built with python3, the freeserver plugin has to be reworked. So you should stay for the moment with 6.4 (python2) until this is realized.
When? Well, when the plugin developer finds the time for this.

As you ask about 6.4, I assume you are running an older Image with the older Flash Partitions Size.
I would recommend to flash openatv 6.4 emmc-recovery-image through USB Pen drive to rearrange the newer used Partition size.
With this Install, you'll get 4 Multiboot Slots, in which Slot1 is used from your just flashed Image.
The other Slots you may use now for other Images to install, no question whether 6.5 or 7.0.
But...6.5 was created only for Development and is since a while not supported any more, and End of Life.
The main Difference between 6.4 (py2) and 7.0 (py3) is the upgrade to a higher Python Language Version, realized in 7.0, which is still in Beta Phase.
So there are still a lot of Things (meanwhile mostly plugins) to be written from scratch or patched from py2 to p3.
I would recommend 6.4 which is declared the stable Version right now, and most of the plugins should work just fine.
And for playing around, you may use Multiboot.

Additionally mentioned, you may select more files at once by clicking the Media, PVR or List Button on your RC.
The Name of the Button may vary with different Box Brands.

As i do not speak french, i answer in english.
Go to Menu-Standby/Restart-Multiboot. Here you can see your current Image running in Mode 1. Boot the same Slotnumber in Mode 12 and after the System fired up press blue long. There you will find the Initialicion of PiP.

With openatv 7.0 install from feed Cccam, install ncam and reboot the Box.
Now go to Infopanel and choose start ncam if not already running.
Now downlad and extract with 7zip enigma2-plugin-extensions-freeserver 7.26.ipk, pick out the /usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/Extensions/Freeserver/Freeserver.sh and copy the file to /usr/script, give attribute 755 to the script and run it.
If there is no light immediately realize an epg scan with epgrefresh and you should be good to go as a workaround.
Be sure to use a vpnservice.
