  • Help fof AMIKO A5 combo... basic settings.

    Hello!

    I am looking desperately for some support on an amiko a5 combo that I just bought...

    before returning it!


    I wanted to use it mainly as:

    DVB tuner and media server.

    I am not interested in the sat part.


    My problems are:


    - resolution screen setting:

    impossible to find any resolution setting,

    I need 1024 x 768,

    so 4:3 screen,

    but I can only choose 16:9 screen sizes,

    like 720 or 1080,

    and it gets stretched on my beamer...

    I cannot adjust this.

    I would like the right proportion

    (with the 2 black bars on top and bottom)


    - audio setting:

    I would like to use an AV cable for the analog audio out,

    but I get only the right speaker,

    no left (and no video) are coming out of that AV plug...

    I read it might be possible that a special plug is needed,

    2mm longer than the usual one,

    but I have no idea whether this is true or not,

    nor where I could buy that!

    Furthermore,

    if the HDMI is used (which I would use for video part)

    the only channel that comes out becomes really low in volume,

    while if the HDMI plug is taken out it gets back louder...


    With these problems it becomes almost impossible to use...

    I will try also the optical audio out...

    but the screen resolution setting is pretty important to me!

    I have the same problem. I have no video and only right channel audio coming out of AV. Moreover, nothing changes when I change the audio from "stereo" to mono or left or right... Did you manage to solve this? Thanks!
