Thank you for that explanation. I am beginning to understand a little more. I've struggled to get any EPG function to work, maybe I need to look at the rytec list and compare with the vavoo list.
Before I do that, am I transfering the rytec details to vavoo channels or the other way around?

Reset you motor before setting up again, as if starting from new again.
Motor should then be driven to 0.8w (some motors have digital displays on the actual motor - i am not sure about your one? )
Fine tune for best signal on 0.8w on both H and V transponders try channel U tv (12687 H 27500) and channel Al Jazeera English (12418 V 28000) both are free channels.
Then drive motor to 30west and check for signal ,then to 39 east, and check for signal.
If there is no signal at 30w or 39e then bend dish face up or down to try for signal, that will tell you which way to adjust the motor latitude.
Go back to 0.8 west and check for signal. If signal is reduced, fine tune parabolic (dish face) elevation.
Repeat this process several times, between all 3 satellites' until you have good signal on all 3.
When you do, then you should have good signal everywhere, the full satellite arc.
I know I'm a bit late to the party but this is the best advice ever!
I've been messing about for years (yes, years!) trying to get the arc right on my own dish. I've got a history the same as jenseneverest, but when it came to tweeking my set-up after the wind blew it off course years ago, I was stumped!

Hi, does anyone know if there is a way to stop the EPG daily update waking the STB up?
Basically I've isolated the problem of the STB walking up and found it to be linked to the EPG Importer's daily update. I could turn off the daily import but that's not really a solution.

I don't want to hijack the thread but I'm struggling to find a quick answer to something; what's the advantage of dual boot, i.e. what's the android part for?
Is it to run apps like TV streaming etc or is there more to it?
I'm looking to get another box for the bedroom and notice these dual boot boxes are popular with a lot of people.
