On my Mutant HD51 the search video, favourites and more works fine now, open HDF, in multiboot open ATV and open VIX.
I use the iptv player in gitlab from Mario 28-10-2020.

I have try many times with the ok and yellow button but not still working.
You are right, was working for me up to yesterday evening with it being hit and miss. Now no joy, only if you favourite a YouTube channel before hand does it still work. Searching for new items it's does not.
Let's wait it out for a fix to come if so.
