I have the latest version (6.2.0u) and it works great at the default settings. I noticed that if I set the restart delay to anything other than 0 then the plugin never restarts anything. It doesn't matter to me, I just leave it as 0, I am just mentioning it.

I use this plugin and I think it's great!
I usually download rather than stream, which works very well most of the time.
Two times recently I have changed the HDD in my receiver, which has resulted in the VOD download location being reset to 'none'.
This would not be a problem, but if I try to change it in the 'main settings' my box just hangs.
I have resolved it both times by editing the /etc/enigma2/settings file and putting the location in there.
I then have to power the receiver off without shutting it down so that it does not overwrite the settings. All is OK after this.
The EPG download location did not need resetting on either occasion.
EPG location is /media/hdd/
VOD location is /media/hdd/movie/
I am running the latest OpenVIX build with 4.17 plugin. The device is a GigaBlue UHD UE 4K (gbue4k)
Ajpanel only has an option to restart live streams unfortunately.
Looks like I will stay with OpenVix. I had hoped the difference was due to a setting I had missed somewhere.

Thanks - I use that already. It will restart a stream if you're viewing it but not a timer recording.

I have a Gigablue UHD UE 4K and I have both OpenVix and OpenATV (6.4) installed. I use both freesat and iptv services.
I actually prefer OpenATV in general but I have to use OpenVix because of how they both handle timer recordings of IPTV streams.
If there's a glitch in the stream the recording is stopped. OpenVix immediately starts a new recording, so whilst I may end up with the programme in 2 or 3 parts, at least I have it all.
With OpenATV it does not restart so I only have part of the programme. Is there a setting I can change somewhere to make it behave like Vix?
