I was using a CI+ module of a paid subscription for a digital broadcaster.I have been using it with my Vu+ set-top-box for about 1.5 year and a few days ago it suddenly stopped working(though the stb still recognizes the module) while I was watching Tv.Now when I open a channel it says"You have no entitlement for this channel".But interestingly, sometimes after waiting several minutes, it starts to display channel but then after a few minutes it goes off.

What may be the problem?I am using OpenAtv 6.3 image.I tried detaching and reattaching the module, restarting the stb, shutting down the stb completely, then detaching the power cord, every cable and the module, after a few minutes reattaching them and turning on the stb.No difference.

I have a Vu+ Uno 4k SE.I am using both a cccam and a CI+ module.Openatv 6.3 is installed on my stb.My problem is, when I change the channel to a channel which CI+ module supports , it decrypts the channel using the cccam instead of the CI+ module.I have to stop the cccam connection or internet connection to make the stb decrypt the channels using CI+ module.

How can I make it use always CI+ module first?

    Thanks for your answer.

    It says on the page:

    "

The tested lines are printed according to the following color codes:

Good lines. User/pass is correct but for CCcam v2.0.11 and below, the line may be in use.

Good lines but already in use by someone else. Works only with CCcam v2.1.0 and greater.

    Wrong credentials. Bad username/password.

Dead host or too slow. Host not responding in the allowed time or syntax error.

    "

I may be wrong but shouldn't it write in red specifying that it's wrong credentials?

    Thanks for your answers.

there is also a website you can test payservers.

    ...

    https://testious.com/

It's great that there is a test, I tried it and after "processing" it printed the hostname in gray color, I think it means according to the page "Dead host or too slow", so it looks dead.

Have you tried contacting them first to see whats going on?

Yes, I sent an email to them, they replied by writing that they will help if I phone them.I hesitate talking on the phone generally but there is no other way after the test confirmed that the host is dead.

My stb came with a cccam membership(for 1 year). After running well for about 6-7 months, suddenly it stopped working and started to give me this type of errors in Live Log(Openwebif->OSCam Web Interface->Live Log)

    • C+line_server [cccam] connecting to ****************:27500
    • 2020/08/14 22:41:28 ***42C31 p (net) can't resolve hostname, error: Name or service not known
    • 2020/08/14 22:41:31 ***25C7B p (reader) C+line_server [cccam] connect failed: Connection timed out
    • 2020/08/14 22:41:41 ***42C31 p (net) can't resolve hostname, error: Name or service not known

Note:I changed some characters with "*".

I don't understand why it started to do this, resetting the modem, changing the modem, restarting the stb, plugging off the wires then plugging them back didn't work.

When I press the network test under OpenAtv's menu, all of them has a green line , so it looks like internet is working.

Is there something like "dns flush" for Enigma2 stbs(like on Windows Pcs)? Or any other solution?I am using a Vu+ Uno 4k SE with OpenAtv 6.3 image.

    Thanks for your answer.

I remembered that I installed a plugin to be able to change root password of the device a few weeks ago, I forgot the plugin's name but it's only aim was to change the root password.I had installed that plugin before buying the ci+ module and had changed the password.I wonder if there is a possibility that that plugin somehow broke something and is now preventing the CI port to recognize the module.

Firstly I am totaly a newbie about open source stbs, cams, cards etc, I have always used either the provider's closed stb or stbs for just FTA channels in the past.

I purchased a Vu+ Uno 4k SE stb a few weeks ago, it came with Openatv 6.4 image. A few days ago I purchased a ci+ cam, Smit Nds Videoguard. It was activated by the seller. When I insert the cam into Vu+'s CI slot and then turn the stb on, it seems it doesn't recognize the ci+ module in any way, when I enter "Common Interface" menu, neither any info is shown about the module nor any option. When I try to watch the channels which it should decrypt, there is just black screen, no matter how much time I wait.

I took the module to an authorized service for the provider and they tried it on a tv, at first the module didn't seem to work there too, then they installed something to it and it worked there. They said that now I should just insert the module into CI slot of my device at home.

I tried it with my vu+ at home but unfortunately nothing changed, it didn't work, still there is no sign of recognition.I tried using force to insert the module too but it doesn't matter how much force I use it still doesn't work(I checked the pins inside the CI slot, none of them is bent).

IWhat may be the problem?I tried installing ciplushelper too(version 4.8) but nothing changed although it said it installed succesfully.(I installed the plugin using DreamOSat panel). Also I think an oscam is installed and active but I am not sure if it may be in relation with the problem in any way.I tried disabling/stopping it too but nothing changes about ci+ module's non-recognition.
