Can you give me some advice on what to do. I am about to do a factory reset and start over, one SAT and TP at a time to get this stuff right. ABout the time I think I have it figured out I get the rug pulled out from under me!

Those FTA channels will not show a channel hash until they go back scrambled.

I did not know that! That is another whole in my knowledge that you have filled. That makes sense. I was thinking that every channel would have a hash, but now knowing the FTA won't simplifies things even more. Thanks for the help. :beer1:

Well, After spending many hours I have successfully destroyed my key file and I am as lost as I can be. I am having a hard time understanding how the groups work vs using the srvid of the channel only. I am continuing to work on this but I am only confusing myself with this. I also have an issue where the channel will not show a hash unless it is able to find a reader. Here is an example of what I am seeing.

I set it up this way => and I can now see the HASH for each channel. This bit of knowledge has helped me immensely. I was frustrated before but now I am getting my files all lined up! :beer1:

One other issue I have is finding the HASH for the channels. I have 2 and 8 selected on my debug mode yet I do not have all channels revealing a hash. I only have a couple that are showing a HASH. Is this normal? I would expect all channels to show a hash. I know this has to been in my configuration and I am looking for guidance to shorten my digging for the knowledge. I also realize that digging is the best way to learn. My problem is at my age, time is a precious commodity and I don't even buy green bananas. If anyone has a spot for me to look and read I would appreciate it.

Thanks for this response. I would call you Long Haired, but I can't bring myself to call you IDIOT! ;-) I am still a relatively new guy at this. I am an E.E. and I am not stupid, but, I am old! I am retired military and if you know what a 2n222 transistor is you really know where I cut my teeth. It takes me a few repetitions to beat something into my brain these days and I am back at the beating! I have a couple of questions about what you graciously provided for me. When I look at 4080V, I have taken what you provided and came up with this using 1101 for my group

Is this correct or what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the help. It is appreciated!

I am looking at the info from what I have been able to figure out with the help of Google. Here is a section of a download from my webif. Is this where I get the HASH?

    <e2servicereference>1:0:19:1F:12F:78:9F50FB4:0:0:0:</e2servicereference>
    <e2servicename>E! West</e2servicename>

    Is the highlighted one it?

Thanks! Now I have a new issue. I am trying t find the hash for the tp's and I am having no luck with locating them with webif. I can find everything else but the HASH. I know I am overlooking the obvious but where can I find the HASH? Thanks TC, you have helped me many times!

Good Morning Everyone! I am back online trying to rebuild my systems after a storm did a number on my BUD. I have been successful with most items that I have been slowly rebuilding. I do have an issue with 103W TP 3930. This TP is new and apparently has replaced TP3940. Does anyone have the keys to this new TP? Thanks in advance for any help.

    :smiling face:

I want to say a collective thanks to TC, ENOSAT, and supwiddiss. You guys have given me a wealth of information to study and digest. Thanks to each of you, I really appreciate your help and will can't wait until I know enough to be able to assist you too! This is a challenging endeavor that I am really enjoying working at. It is also a good reason to have a few drinks! :smiling face with sunglasses: :smiling face: :winking face:

Boy what an evening I had yesterday! I want to give you an update on what I have done to get this working. Thanks to each of you, again.

I tried the configuration files provided, no change. I deleted all my configuration files and reloaded them. No change. I reinstalled OSCAM and all configuration files and still it would not work.

I did a factory reset, new everything! Put OSCAM back and the configuration files!

    Everything works.....

All I can figure out is that I had an issue with something in the box that only a factory reset took care of.

I do appreciate the information that was provided, and I have learned a lot more about how this magnificent STB's work. Thanks again! :party-time: :party-time:
