Actually, setting the display recording in LCD during use to 'no' gives a solid red recording indicator - my bad! :cringe::chuckle: Didn't notice that before and there were quite a few package updates in the past couple of days so perhaps behaviour changed with an update :derpthink:

I recently made the change from VTi to openATV on my VU+ Duo4kSE and so far I'm loving it. One thing that nags me is that if I choose to have the recording symbol show in the infobar and LCD then the symbol blinks/flashes on and off during recordings. This is especially distracting in the front panel LCD so I have this setting disabled. Is anyone aware of a way to have the recording symbol simply set to on or off (i.e. not flashing)? It doesn't appear to be a skin-related setting. Thanks in advance!

don't know what box you have and what your image choices are, but you will have a happier life with openatv, openvix, pure2 or openblackhole.
I have a Duo 4K SE and copped on pretty quick that a lot of the images with the most English language support are not available for this box as yet. I'm a noob. The default image wouldn't pick up an Irish terrestrial aerial and I made a quick bollix of installing Black Hole (or configuring it to be exact). I mistook vti for the default vu+ image and ran that. Its ok. I was impressed with the 'transform timeshift into recording' feature but maybe that's available in other images too (?) Anyway this isn't the thread for reporting my blunders and stupidity. Thanks for the pointers :zip it:

Will KiddaC skins work in vti images? (I note that Blackhole is not supported so I'm guessing no)
