using dm800se openpli 4.0
T&K round the wrong way, but other than that, good job.
Mate, there was not a definite answer on all the tutorials instruction I have read (even the video of setting up mot dish had the K at the top) some people said the K at the top while others said the T at the top, at the end I had to put one of the 2 at the top.
done a good job matey
The funny is, I actually paid some (expert installer) guy to install it for me and all he got for me were 4 sats or so BUT after a lot of reading, trial and error I managed to re-do the whole thing and do better job than him. I am now getting 30e to 30w.
My wife would kiss my ass if i put a dish that size on the front of the house
LOL, it looks big mate but it is only 1.1m and it is at the back of the house so it is concealed.
Thanks guys but I think I am quite happy with what I got so no need to spend over 2k (here is me thinking that my £400 setup is expensive lol)
The 1.25 are that price and for the bigger dishes you can look at £2400
you mean £240 right?
It may make a small difference but the only way your going to get reliable reception is to get a bigger dish i personally recommend the gibertinti 1.25 m aluminium dish but you may well need an even a larger dish upto 2.4 m dependant on what channels your actually looking for
Thanks mate for the recommendations, what is their normal prize? quick search on 3bay says £199!! wth? does it really cost that much? I think I will have to do without these 2 satellites.
I have the 1.1 motorized dish with Smart Oxid 0.1dB LNB, everything is setup perfectly but the picture keeps on breaking on the above 2 satellites.......I have read a lot of people recommending the above lnb but will it help get me extra signal boost?
it is under tenner at am4z0n but is it worth it?
details of my setup is in my signature and am from east midlands.
Thanks in advance
Abaaba
I have DM800se a8p sim (which means you can flash original images as well) for sale, it has only been used for 2 months, it comes with original boxing and all the original accessory almost brand new.
my asking price £145 this includes Delivery to the UK mainland.
Preferred payment: PayPal
Thanks again for your responses, really appreciate it.. I finally done it, now I can go out and enjoy the rest of the weekend lol
I had the wrong latitude numbers on my motor, I adjusted my latitude numbers on the elevation side of the motor which made the motor arm a bit too high...what an idiot!!
I now the motor tracks the arc and I have all the sats expect Nilesat @7w but I dont mind that.
Thanks again for all your support.
Abaaba
I hope you can help me figure out what I am missing here
I have re-done the my motor setup today (I have been at it all day and) and I think I am really close, I am using 5 sats to test if I am tracking the arc correctly (30w, 15w, 5w, 13e, 26e and 28.2e)
30w Al Jazera SNR 90% AGC 29% BER 0%
15W Zagros SNR 30% AGC 28% BER 0%
5W TV5 Mod SNR 49% AGC 31% BER 0%
0.8w (somehow cant seem to get this one, probably neighbour's tree is blocking it )
13e Bloombe SNR 77% AGC 30% BER 0%
26e Al Manar SNR 0% AGC 0% BER 0%
28.2e Chan4 SNR 0% AGC 0% BER 0%
now if I add 1.5 degrees to west on my normal Longitude then I get the below result
30w Al Jazera SNR 0% AGC 0% BER 0%
15W Zagros SNR 0% AGC 0% BER 0%
5W TV5 Mod SNR 0% AGC 0% BER 0%
0.8w (somehow cant seem to get this one, probably neighbour's tree is blocking it )
13e Bloombe SNR 80% AGC 29% BER 0%
26e Al Manar SNR 30% AGC 32% BER 0%
28.2e Chan4 SNR 57% AGC 31% BER 0%
Am I right in thinking the motor tale is a bit high?
I was so looking forward to using my new satlink ws-6906 but it was big disappointment.
Thanks

Thanks mate, Unfortunately we don't have/own any apple stuff at all...........you could say we are more of androids ppl BUT I am sure it will come in handy for others.
Edit....Probably will borrow my mate's iphone4 and use it.
or shop at midnight and have a good wall thickness also
LOL...I think I saw them today whilst driving.....da@mn!! Dont give me ideas man.
there is an android app that can show you how to set up....if i get rid of this trycam **** on my phone i will put it up here for you !
enigma signal meter? got that already..........I must have read it from somewhere in this forum.
As long as your pole is plumb and you have set the motors elevation you should be pretty close !
Discard my last comment i can see from your avatar its not a triax ¬
:rikjaard1:
Pole is plumb motor/box latitude set correctly, read 100s of tutorials read so I kind of learned quite a lot. I know I am really close :57: but the whether hasn't been kind to me lately so I haven't touched it.
Why fix what isn't broken ¬
just install the mini dish separately ? saves you £70 to start with - route 1 to a vu duo 2 !!!
Just a thought .
Rik
Lol, who said it wasnt broken? The motor isnt tracking the arc properly, It came down and up twice already......to make long story short, I had to get rid of the arm/elbow mount and get T&K and a meter...........at first I only had few sats on east and none on west, now I have some eat and some west but I want have it perfect so that it tracks the arc properly 45e to 30 west..........I have been at it (on and off) for 2 months now lol so now I am in a stage where I am planning ahead.
Patience/persistence is the name of the game right?
I was wanting a 4.5" wide steel galvanised pipe that was 3ft in length and they charged £70 cash
ouch!! £70 for 3 feet??? I wanted 6 feet but I guess I will have to be content with 4 feet, Thanks matey.
Thanx mate, if you dont mind me asking, what length were you after and how much did they charge? just so that I have rough idea....
