the conclusion is this-put the FG plug-ins from it that you are interested in, including BA-then delete the FG to the devil and use the receiver..

It appeared that I can't completely remove GF because after doing that I got a green screen and now box reboots only to the Image in the flash. BA is not starting. So it looks like in my box BA works only when GF is installed. 🤔

Ok, I put the puzzles together ;-) and successfully did it myself. :-)

I uploaded to /tmp the same version of GF (2.8 r3.deb) that was working for me before the crash, and installed it from the shell. Then in the GF menu I turned off software autoupdate and turned on manual (local) installation from /tmp. Next I uploaded to /tmp the same version of BA (2.89.deb) that was working for me before the crash (it appeared on the GF list of plugins) and installed it from the GF menu. After restarting GUI, BA appeared in the plugin menu with my previous Images inside. After restarting the box, BA menu appeared again as it was before the crash and my default Image started after a few seconds. :-)

Thank you for the inspiration. ;-) :beer1:

Maybe it will help someone... :cool1:

    Hi,

hecha71 could you tell me please, how to reinstall BA on my DM920?

Few days ago my DM920 crashed and started booting only into Rescue Mode. After many restarts I desperately tried the "Online recovery" but it turned out to be a mistake as that definitely wiped BA from the flash and unfortunately that didn't help the box to start normally. So I lost all my BA multi-boot config. Finally I had to send my box to service repair. Today I got my box back and tried to reinstall everything, but I couldn't find BA on Gutemine's plugins list. I got back to this topic thinking that I do something wrong and I read that Gutemine removed BA from the list. :-(

    Hi,

I have a problem with the Newnigma2 image installed as a second image on the Barry Allen multi-boot on the DM920 UHD.

I have the genuine DM Firmware Unstable Image in the Flash and the OpenATV 6.4 image in the Barry Allen multi-boot, installed as the first image on the SD Card 64GB. Yesterday I added the latest Newnigma2 weekly image from the Barry Allen plugin menu on the OpenATV. After restarting the box and choosing Newnigma2 image from the Barry Allen startup menu nothing happened. The TV screen turned black, there was only the name of the image "Newnigma2..." on the box display, telnet to the box was timed out. The other Image chosen from Barry Allen works good.

My DM920 UHD is quite new and I have little experience with this model and modern images. I had a DM800HD before and I haven't touch its software for many years since I made a very stable configuration based on the Newnigma2 (v3.2.1), so I'm not yet familiar with the present images and dependencies between them. The OpenATV image was set up by the seller but I wanted to try Newnigma2 because it worked good for me for many years.

Could someone give me a hint what could I do wrong or what to look for to make it working?

    My software configuration is:

DM Firmware Unstable 2.5 build 20201202 Image (in the flash)

    Barry Allen 12.89 Multiboot

OpenATV 6.4 build 20210531 Image (on the SD Card)

    newnigma2-deb-weekly-OE2.5-dm920-18_07_2021.tar.xz (on the SD Card)
