I had this problem with my vu+solo openpli 3.0 image..

I fixed it by creating a swap file on my usb pen...this was done via my Tspanel.....i think blackhole has a simiiar option somewhere.

By creating a swap file the box now had more cache to use and did not crash when i tried to use device manager....i also followed this post..http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…le-vu-duo-solo.html...and enabled the swap file to be activated every boot(by default it wasnt)

Now my vu+ solo always has active.mounted usb pen drive....

This fixed the problem of losing my mount for crossepg and does not revert to internal flash.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for your quick reply ben361.
I will try your suggestion when i next have to look at the Alien box. It has gone back to its owner...
Just another question .....on following your advice will this give me an option to create a swap file? and if so ...will it be activated on every reboot?

Hi, I am trying to manually create a swap file on my Amiko 2 using an Enigma 2 image(HDMU).
I have followed instructions from master g' (found here:http://linuxsat-support.com/vu…swapfile-vu-duo-solo.html).
These instructions are for a Vu+solo but i thought it might work here because I have no tspanel on the image.(i dont think the Alien2 supports a tspanel function)

It will create the swap file on usb, but when i type the command to activate it i get an error.(saying something like--there is no argument)

    Anyone got any ideas?

Is it even possible to create a swap file on an Amiko Alien 2 Enigma 2 image?
