I am having a real problem with getting my lines to work. Here is the scenario

I have three lines 2 N lines on Sly UK & One C line for Euro.

If i use MGCamd I can get the Nlines to work but the Cline doesn't work. I have put the Nlines in Newcamd.list and the Cline in CCamd.list

If i use OScam the cline defaults and one Nline opens occasionally. I can't seem to get the other to work.

Effectively i don't mind which of the two cams i use (oscam always seems to have been more stable for me) but i would like to get either cam to open up both Sly UK and euro without having to switch cams. And ideally i would prefer the Nlines to have priority over the Cline as my euro servers Sly Uk isnt always the best.

I'm not sure whether with the MgCamd what way to set the mg.cfg to open both clines & nlines and prioritise the NLines
And with Oscam i'm not sure how to set the oscam configs to do the same.

I am running a TM Twin with vix image

    thanks in advance Rikk

Can anyone help me, i am setting up a box for someone else and they live in the Basingstoke Area and their ITV region is Meridian. I set up Autobouquets last night for Meridian HD North (which i assumed would be correct) when the ITV regional news was on and all i was getting was news from Kent. So I changed it to Meridian East HD thinking that autobouquets had it round the wrong way and the regional program was still showing news for Kent (Which is nowhere near North Hampshire) Can anyone help and tell me what settings i need to put it on. I don't live in this region and i am looking to post this box to my friend early next week.

been speaking with another mate who has one and you need to

FTP using dcc in to /etc/enigma2/settings and change this file config.misc.videowizardenabled=false in to true i.e config.misc.videowizardenabled=true I think that will run the video setup wizard and allow you to select scart. Just forgot to say needs a hard reset i.e on/off switch immediately after change.

Hey Mate, I don't know if this is any help but i asked a mate who has an alien and has scart set up. You have to do it blind i'm afraid but with a HDMU backup you need to do the following

Menu-down arrow 6 times-ok-ok-ok-left arrow once-then press the green button once-then press the down arrow once-then press ok

If anyone has other images on could they let us know what you need to do from other images (backup and fresh)

If you load a fresh image on your alien (not a backup) can you let the people who have scart only connection what they need to do (how many screens and how many button downs to change the resolution to Scart) (If you have Scart only connection you are unable to see anything until the box is put on top Scart)

Also if you have any other image Open ARP, Open Pli, Pkteam etc image running can you please let us know how to change the resolution to scart like i have done for the HDMU image above

    thanks Rikk

If your unsure or don't feel safe just run the rescue image. You will find it on this forum.

Do you think we should have a page where people can list ebay sellers who are selling clones?

    Nano

Might be a good idea, thanks for the advice. I found an early copy of spark rescue and gonna try it tomorrow.

Don't know never tried, just don't want to f*ck my box up

    PKTeam 1843

This is what i have posted on another forum

I have been asked by a few members to post up my e2 image for the amiko alien 8900 this is the image i use

I will post you a link below to the enigma2 image that i use and also a backup of an image setup for 28.2 east all you need to do is enter your cline into var/keys using dcc (dreambox control centre) (can be found anywhere on google).
put the two folders on your memory stick as they are

Firstly flash the e2 image to your box
go through the basic setup procedure and then go to menu, pkteam blue panel, down to mount centre into hdd manager then using the left arrow bring up your memory stick and press the green button (mount device) this should tell you that your memory stick was succesfully mounted. next exit back to the blue panel and go to system into backup manager and press the red button, this will then put the backup settings onto your system and reboot your system.

next go into dcc and go into configuration and in the dreambox put in the ip on your box which can be found in menu/setup/system/network/adapter settings

the name in dcc should read as root & the password is pkteam put this in and press reconnect the line between the pc image & the dreambox image should go green if this is the case then go into FTP var/keys right click on ccamd.list and paste your cline in here and then save. Next in DCC go into tools and send command and press restart dreambox and this will reboot your dream box and it should be now working. To access your bouquet press ok & then the blue button and this should then show you folders that i have set up go into anyone you like and click on a channel and it should work

    backup _http://ubuntuone.com/7ZnwKdlUOIPkbvILdPi32c

good luck and let me know
    Rikk

This is just a basic for 28.2e but once you get this up and running you can tinker with it. Download other channel lists and change your settings for multi sats

also when you put your box into standby always put it into deep standby otherwise the box will hang up and you will have to disconnect it from the mains ans reconnect

bear in mind that this is just for people who are frustrated after buying the alien 8900 and not being able to get it running. It really isn't a box for newbies although i am finding that a lot of people are buying them and then wanting to throw them out of the window. Anyone who gets this up and running and wants any further advice on how to do other bits and pieces let me know.

This also has crossepg on it just go to red button and press crossepg updater to set it up.

whether it is the best i don't know but it is the most stable that i have found

    Hey Nano

just realised my alien is a clone had the box 6 months and have really enjoyed it, great box. Where do you get the usb rescue image from. Very rarely go into spark but may have upgraded it to 1.2.61 not sure how long its been out and want to be on the safe side.

Just had a look at my Spark version and its 1.2.60 is this alright, does it have the timebomb in it?

This is the simplest way of adding cline in spark

Now you will need to download the emu_plugin file
Once you have downloaded and unzipped the emu_plugin.zip
Place the folder 'plugin' onto a USB stick and insert the USB stick into the USB port on the rear of the receiver.

You will then see a popup window, click Yes to install

    Now open DCC,
When setting up the Configuration use the following logon data:

    Username: root
    Password: root

Once a connection has been established, click FTP
    Now click var -> /root/plugin/var

    Now click on Keys

Now select on your CCcam.cfg file and click on the transfer button, boxed in Red below

When asked to overwrite click Yes

You can check the CCcam.cfg file is correct, by clicking on it and then click View
If you need to edit the file you can do so by clicking the Edit option. Copy & Paste your cline

Once your happy the CCcam.cfg file is okay, you can save & close DCC

Now on Alien Box click Menu -> Plugin

Select CCcam214 and click the Enter button, this will start the emu.
You will see it has been started as the Red Off icon will change to Green.

Now you have started the CCcam Emu, you can exit.
You should now be able to view the channels you select
