Still a lot of testing before me. I wonder for example if on DefineOS it is possible to watch and record iptv (like on xstreamity) or streams from net (like those free streaming tv). I can do this on pc but not always im sitting at pc ;) And on xstreamity framerate is more smooth then on pc.

There might be ram issue, my box which broke pulse 4k twin had 2gb ram, octagon having 1gb.

Done that already, my config is normally with pmt mode = 0 but i checked all to 5 (every change restarted oscam). Dvbapi for this config is deleted. But previously i checked other config i know is working on openatv (i have there two different oscams to change between them) and it had dvbapi still not working. Difference between them is for example this one which now I pasted (to know it is 100% identical as in openatv) has au = 0 in config, in both readers are working/seen but no picture.

Yes, oscam configs? "home\gx\local\oscam" this one loads in webinterface according what info it give. There is second place also with those config files "usr\local\oscam" just in case i was uploading my oscam configs to both. As i said i know oscam is active because readers are active but it dont give any image with any channel (only fta works). Fabric oscam should work anyway, i used fabric openatv 7.5.1 and before 6.4 and it worked with exactly same config. In cam options i was both checking "oscam default" and "oscam" and restarting it after every change. Even oscam-pmod, none worked.

Hi. Well guys please help i lost ~2 days and nights trying to get oscam functional on DefineOS.

My just bought box is Octagon 8008 supreme v3 twin. No matter what it dont want to decode on DefineOS with exactly same 2 different configs that both worked always fine on openatv 6.4 and 7.5.1 on 2 different boxes.

Oscam interface is shows that everything is working in readers in both configs. Logs show such msg: "(dvbapi) Received unknown or unsupported CA PMT command ID 52" ; "(dvbapi) Demuxer 0 stopped descrambling for program".

Official octagon forum not working so i cant search it, from what uploaders of new oscam write here on this forum it should work fine, im trying oscams from factory settings, tryed also many other and new from this forum (adding .bin to /usr/local/oscam/ with 755). Now i downgraded firmware (online method) but still nothing helped. Can i make factory oscam or other "oscam emu" same functional as in openatv? (not asking about icam which is not working for me even on openatv, it installed fine - version for most e2 boxes but channels not working with it).

Please help, i have some days to decide and maybe returning this box so need to be fast to test. PS - Btw picture quality for me is much better on DefineOS then on Openatv 7.5.1 with this Octagon, that why i want to to try making Define functional, without oscam i wont make much sense.

Please help. As i said i have oscam configs decoding fine on OpenAtv (one of it worked even on ancent Octagon on STI chip with small 2 changes then for a different chip) but not working with Oscam. I factory reset already, no change. Need help.

Hi, i don't have experiance with enigma2, i bought setbox pulse4 (arm) with already installed applications also with installed oscam (normal version without emu), in openatv 6.4 options -> softcam this installed oscam is called "pulsecam" and is there as only option (the second is "none").

Would i need to remove it to install oscam emu or I can have installed both and will be able to choose one in options without any conflicts?

Also how can i make it 100% safe and how to do it step by step? I don't want whole openatv 6.4 or oscam to be broken.

Is coping folder etc -> enigma2 folder enought as a backup, i made some backup of current image too, in options, not sure if correctly, i'm worried that if something go wrong i won't be able to use the box because locally no one will help me on this. If i'm not 100% sure it is safe i won't risk so please help, i was already updating oscam normal version to newer normal version (no emu) on different linux setbox (there i removed old first) but it was old box with dedicated firmware, without enigma 2. Please help, thx.

It is still confusing for me, (i don't have much exp, used one 1028p setbox for a long time) because this new box with much poorer sound is Hi3798MV200 but in panel info it shows cpu: ARMv7 so i don't know how it should be qualified in this case (i guess Hisilicon chipset with cpu ARMv7..). And some people (on local forum) before were saying that Hisilicon has better pic quality in compare to Broadcom but everyone always agree that Fortis by far has the best pic quality and scaling. But nobody discusses sound quality.

Edit: I forgot to say I use rca cables to connect to hifi, never used optical, maybe on optical they are all the same but on rca (i have pc connected by rca and setbox too) the difference is huge.

I had used for 10 years Octagon 1028p (fortis, sh4, i think STi7100 chipset) but it just crashed..

But following this i need to find what made so great audio recording (in video files) quality/sound like i had it with this set box, wanted to contact Audioniek but it is impossible as I found him only on hdmedia-universe forum where it is impossible to register because verification graphic is not showing and in github where i also don't know how to contact him. He might be the best person to answer my questions about recorded audio/video quality as he have a mass of sh4 boxes and audio is his hobby.

On a new box (Hi3798MV200) on enigma2 openatv 6.4 rec audio in file (watched on pc for example) is terrible in comparision (files in players info parametrs for both have the same formats/codecs but sound is much different, everyone would notice it in seconds). before i didn't even knew set boxes record files with audio in a different way because i didn't had experience with this and some person adviced me wrong, don't want to resign from this great sound my octagon gave..

I also wonder is this audio/video quality related to octasoft original firmware those Octagon 1028p recieviers have and to what degree, how it is with

enigma2, i heard that on enigma2 on pkt software at least display image quality was worse then on octasoft, how about audio? Or maybe any set

box with STi7100 inside would give such audio? What about other STi are they same good? Is there any possiblity for new devices with same quality of audio/video?
