right finally got sorted. unfortunately none of the suggestions above worked but much appreciate the suggestions

so what finally worked was I downloaded copied cam4me-feed-configs_1.0-r0_mipsel.ipk to the tmp folder. I then installed it

From here I went into plugins and download plugins. At the bottom you will now see and entry called softcam. expand this and then select the cccam ipk of your chioce and install.

Now go back out of the menu system press the blue button go into softcam and you will now see the cccam installed. ftp over your CCcam.cfg and voila!!

Just purchased a Gigablue hd 800 se plus running Openmips. Used to have a Technomate TM Single running VIX

I have ftp'ed the cccam 2.3 ipk across to tmp and have installed it. However when I go to plugins it is not listed??? But if I go to uninstall plugins it is listed. How do I configure or start it up?

I have ftp'ed my cccam.cfg file to the etc folder but its not working

In the VIX image all I had to do was ftp it across, install it, go into Softcam in the menu and enable startup. I realise Openmips is a bit of a learning curve coming from VIX but Im at the stage now where im gonna f**k the box out!

Any help greatly appreciated!

AS this is my first linux box I am constantly playing with it so that I can understand it better and eventually be able to contribute more.

I realise the box has 128 MB Flash and 256 MB RAM. If i want to clean down this memory and free it up how would I go about it?

Should I do a factory reset in OPENVIX 3.0? I dont mind setting it up from scratch by the way

Should I reflash the box and set it up from scratch? Does reflashing add to the exisiting memory and use it up or wipe it completely?

Ever time I reflash my box with OPENVIX 3.0 is it wiping it completely or do i need to do anything else?

First of all forgive me if this is the wrong section for posting. I have also done a search on this but cant seem to come with anything concrete.

Im also new to this so please bear with me. It may seem obivous to you or trivial but Im just getting started and I have read what I can from google but still need help.

I have just purchased my new 800UE box which came flased with the latest vix image. I have just set it up and have it working.

However I want to setup favourite groups and populate those with only the channels that I choose. I was able to do this quite easily on previouse Amiko 8820 but for the life of me cant figure it out.

I know bouquets are sort of like favourite groups but they contain lots of channels I dont want. Like my old Amiko box I just want to press the FAV button on the remote, select which ever fav group I have setup and then the channel

Can some one please elaborate a bit on this for me
