- Added functionality to the option "Copy EPG between Channels (from xml file)" to chain DVB to DVB Channels.
could you kindly provide more details how this function work, with file "XML"( file with expamles for 2 -3 channels) please
thank you
The purpose of this function is to copy EPG and PIcons between channels.
The picture is a quick guide of the process.
----------------------------
1- Create new EPG-Sharing File (Project)
----------------------------
Here you can create the xml that will contain your collection of channels.
The step are easy to follow.
----------------------------
2- Link EPG Source-Channel to the Channel with no EPG
----------------------------
This is were you can add channel bindings.
In this example, I have "Dubai One" (on Badr 26.0E) with EPG.
However, I prefer to watch the "Dubai One HD" (on NileSat 7.0W) which does not have EPG.
And here is how we link them:
2.1- Click "Add".
2.2- Select "DVB to DVB" as both channels are DVB type.
Note : You can also copy EPG from a DVB channel to IPTV channels (if we select "DVB to IPTV").
2.3- Here you can bind as many channels as you need as follows:
a- Select the source of EPG on the left (the Menu and Red buttons are helpful).
b- Click the Yellow button which will find the closest name on the right (use the right arrow to move the cursor on th right to the channel you need to copy the EPG to).
c- Click the Blue Button to save your selection.
Repeat Step-3 to add as many bindings as you need. Then you exit this channel browser.
Note : Exit by double-clicking the Cancel/Exit button or from Menu.
----------------------------
3- Copy EPG
----------------------------
Now we are back to the table with the added channel bindings.
You can start copying the EPG for all the channels in the table with the Yellow Button.
Note: you can also copy the PIcons (if you want).
----------------------------
The xml file is now ready and can be used at any time to update the EPG.
You may also share it with others for the same purpose.
