    Hi,

When watching a movie through this image with ajpanel these graphics appear and I don't know how to remove them

Has anyone had a solution for this in other cases it works fine

This does not come from AJPanel. It comes from the image and can be disabled from the system menu (image dependent).

To skip using AJPaenl, just show its bar (normally with long Exit key) then use the《 and 》keys to skip. Or use the left/right arrows to see a kind of cursor that points to skip position then click OK.

You can use the digits keys to change the skip period.

This is a local address and is normally used to stream to your computer (e.g. using VLC).

AJPanel expects another URL format where it decides how to access a subscription server and the server responds differently

Hi... thanks for the job...a question..It could be possible to have epg guide when i download channels from the Mac portal to transfer them to enigma 2 bouquet?

The EPG from server can be updated as follows:

1- Play a channel from any IPTV bouquet.

2- From AJPanel main page, select "IPTV" then "Update Current Bouquet EPG (from IPTV Server)".

This will detect the server type for the channels in the bouquet and will try to download the EPG from the server to update the system.

    ----------------------‐--------

    Note:

Just make sure that the system is set to cache the EPG and that the path exists. Example from OpenPLi menu:

Setup >> System >> EPG >> Location EPG Cache file.

    You will either see:

    /media/hdd/epg.dat

    or

    /media/usb/epg.dat

So, just ensure that you the path is correct (hdd or usb).

    ----------------------‐--------

The discussed option was separated from download process to enable the users to update their bouquets EPG at any time (without downloading the channels again).

Besides network/internet quality, server access speed mainly depends on the server you are using.

Changing the player (4097/5001/5002/8182) sometimes help.

Is their any value in building a tool in AJ Panel which analyses a portal list and ranks the portals in order of best ping times?

May be it will take too long to analyse but it can be very useful when choosing to connect to the fastest servers.

The option "Check & Filter" (Blue button) checks the accessibilty of all the servers in the table. It will create another file filtering only the working servers.

The filtering does few things to decide whether the server is accessible or not. Pinging is not enough.

Testing the speed is a bit difficult because you have to play a channel to judge.

There are cases where the server response is fast but playing the channel is slow. And vice versa.

And, in some cases the speed is different between Live and VOD.

Selecting a suitable player for each server also has a big role with performance (4097/5001/5002/8192).

Bouquet Name for IPTV channels in this table will be shown when you use INFO/HELP button in the upcoming update.

The upcoming update will handle such cases.

    - Added functionality to the option "Copy EPG between Channels (from xml file)" to chain DVB to DVB Channels.

could you kindly provide more details how this function work, with file "XML"( file with expamles for 2 -3 channels) please

    thank you

The purpose of this function is to copy EPG and PIcons between channels.

The picture is a quick guide of the process.

    ----------------------------

1- Create new EPG-Sharing File (Project)

    ----------------------------

Here you can create the xml that will contain your collection of channels.

The step are easy to follow.

    ----------------------------

2- Link EPG Source-Channel to the Channel with no EPG

    ----------------------------

This is were you can add channel bindings.

In this example, I have "Dubai One" (on Badr 26.0E) with EPG.

However, I prefer to watch the "Dubai One HD" (on NileSat 7.0W) which does not have EPG.

And here is how we link them:

    2.1- Click "Add".

2.2- Select "DVB to DVB" as both channels are DVB type.

Note : You can also copy EPG from a DVB channel to IPTV channels (if we select "DVB to IPTV").

2.3- Here you can bind as many channels as you need as follows:

a- Select the source of EPG on the left (the Menu and Red buttons are helpful).

b- Click the Yellow button which will find the closest name on the right (use the right arrow to move the cursor on th right to the channel you need to copy the EPG to).

c- Click the Blue Button to save your selection.

Repeat Step-3 to add as many bindings as you need. Then you exit this channel browser.

Note : Exit by double-clicking the Cancel/Exit button or from Menu.

    ----------------------------

    3- Copy EPG

    ----------------------------

Now we are back to the table with the added channel bindings.

You can start copying the EPG for all the channels in the table with the Yellow Button.

Note: you can also copy the PIcons (if you want).

    ----------------------------

The xml file is now ready and can be used at any time to update the EPG.

You may also share it with others for the same purpose.

    IMG-20240303-WA0012.jpg

The suggested PIcons are based on:

1- Closer names to the channel name (up to 50% similar).

    2- Closer Reference codes.

3- Files with same name as channel name (case-sensitive).

To find a PIcon with the same name as the channel name, the letters must match. This means if channel name is "Carac1", it will not suggest "carac1.png".

    -------------------------

The coming update will be improved to include file names that use all small-letters or all capital-letters name. So, it will suggest the files "Carac1.png" ,

"carac1.png" and "CARAC1.png" (if they exist).

Can this be of any help ?

If you have AJPanel on Enigma2 device:

    1- Select the option "Services/Channels".

2- Select "Export Services to "channels.xml"".

3- Select a bouquet from the list.

This will generate an xml file (for all the channels in the bouquet) with the exact format in your question at: https://github.com/iptv-org/iptv-org.github.io/issues/1421

    Hi all.
I love this multifunction panel, thanks biko, but I have a request. I would like to use my personal configurations for the F1 - F2 and F3 buttons instead of having the screen shots that can get anyway via openwebif. Would it be possible somehow to have them released from ajpanel? Or at the most leave just one of them for the screenshot.
    Thanks

Each key has a different screenshot function as shown. There are alternative screenshot keys (added for different RCU).

    IMG-20230811-WA0010.jpg

If you don't need the screenshot, you can disable it from AJPanel Settings.

    IMG-20230811-WA0016.jpg

You can also keep AJPanel Screenshot active and release a key or all F1/F2/F3 keys (the alternative keys will still work).

    To release the keys:

    1- Open the file:

    /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/AJPan/keymap.xml

2- Delete the line for the key that you need to release (see the highlighted lines).

    IMG-20230811-WA0015.jpg

3- Save the file and restart GUI/Enigma.

    Hi all!

I use the latest AJ Panel on VU+ Zero 4k under OpenATV 6.4. My problem is that for the portals epg doesn't work, none of them. When I try the portal on SFVIP Player ob Windows there is epg. Forr the playlists epg works fine, and it's all of them. Made conversation with biko, he said that it should work if server suppots, I think it does as it is wirking on SFVIP. Any idea?

    Fixed in the coming update.

Hello biko or friends who knows how to solve this problem , why is it that most channels with 4k or HEVC (H.265) format do not play on AJ-Panel? do we have solutions to this.

This is related to the player you use.

The default player when you install AJPanel is ServiceMp3 and that is decided by the setting option "Default IPTV Reference Type" which defaults to 4097. This should be OK on most devices.

However, you can try other players as follows:

    - If ServiceApp is installed on your device, you'll get 2 more players. So, you can try to change the Reference Type from the Panel's settings from 4097 to 5001 or 5002 for the new channels to permanently use the required player.

Another quick test method is to use the option "Replay with ..." from AJPanel Player-Bar menu and try the available players there.

In wich format you record in 4097 when serviceapp is disabled? At me this is .stream file extension, internal player cannot play it, but when I downloaded and tried with vlc it can. By the way, as I sad, I tried on different channels and the recording sometimes works, sometimes not, I mean file is vreated but the size is 0 kB, so it should be an image issue...

Recording normally creates media files with the extension ".ts" especially when you record from satellite services.

However, recording from IPTV streams will create media files with the extension ".stream". These files can be played with Reference Types:

    - 1 (DVB Stream)

    - 4097 (ServiceMp3)

    - 5001 (GST Player).

Note: 5002 (Ext3-EPlayer) may not play ".stream" files.

    ----------------------------------

    To play ".stream" on Enigma2:

    Method-1:

Select the recorded media from STB Playlist Button and click OK. Playlist Button is on Octagon RCU but the button name may be different on other Remote Control Units (probably "Files" or "Movies" or "Video").

    Method-2:

Rename the file extension from ".stream" to ".ts". Then you will be able to play it with all RTypes (1, 4097, 5001, 5002).

This is to confirm Biko's comments.

The symptoms are the same on other images.

Here are our test results on Octagon SF8008:

    -------------------------------------

    Test-1:

    - OpenATV-7.1

    - OpenPLi-8.3

1- If ServiceApp is active and you use 1 or 4097, recording will show the spinning progress for indifinite time (STB will freeze).

2- If ServiceApp is active and you use 5001 or 5002, recording will show the error message "Could not record due to invalid service".

3- If ServiceApp is DISABLED (Original settings) and you use 1 or 4097, recording works with no problems.

    -------------------------------------

    11111.jpg

    Test-2:

    OpenHDF-7.0

OpenHDF is clearer on this issue and will warn the users with a message (see the picture).

    -------------------------------------

By the way, PIP (Picture-in-Picture) will also show similar error messages. PIP does not work with 5001/5002.
