  • specifying which card in oscam.server

    I have a similiar question


    I have oscam as reader and ccam as server at the moment


    I have a local sly-card and access to another remote card


    If i am watching a channel, say ***1hd, oscam/ccam wants to use the other card rather than the local.. how do i stop this from happening?
    If i disconenct the nmetwork interface, it switches to my local and all is ok.
    I then re-connect network and current channel is still using local, if i switch to another hd channel, it goes back to using the external card ??


    Whats happening ??

  • copying recoding to usb stick

    Hi Guys


    Have vu+ Duo running vix image


    I want to copy recordings to a usb memory stick to play on a pc or smart tv.


    Any ideas if this can be done on the Vu+ and Vix image .... add-in ??


    When i record a program/film thats encrypted say sl* movie etc, i have the option of recording type de-scrambled, what format is this file ?? avi/mp4 ??


    I connected a usb stick and tried to do a copy from the recording screen/menu but when selecting the external usb it failed.


    Is there a correct process in doing this ???


    Do i have to mount a usb stick and format it to a particular format type rather than fat ??


    If so how will this be read by pc/smart tv ??

  • Problems with new Vu+Duo. with ViX

    Everything seems to working fine apart from seeing the sly channels that the card should alow me to see..


    I have been trying to understand the CCcam.cfg file, but i dont understand what i hav eto put in there so the softcam reads the card...
    I have tried the card in both slots but still it dosnt seem to read it..


    any ideas ??

  • Problems with new Vu+Duo. with ViX

    I have been following th eexcellent guide "How to set up your new Vu+Duo. with ViX"


    But have a few issues
    (I am using a proper sl** card with entertain channels etc )


    1. Satellite 28.2E Eurobird 1..Astra 1N/2A/2B/2D ---- I didnt see this exactly "Eurobird" ??


    2. Loading a Bouquet or channel List ------ did this but can not see the Bouquet of channels, so ened up doing a manula scan and now have over 900!
    I merged "Mr.Mister - Vix 28.2 East Bouquets HD Swap" with "Mr.Mister- Vix Team 28.2 east *** UK Bouquets 02-10-12"
    File upload worked.


    How do i verify if this has worked



    3.Setting up a EPG or electronic program guide. ---- can i store the EPG on the HDD ratehr than USB stick ??
    Also i'm not sure what this is supposed to look like ??" To setup CrossEPG as your EPG "
    i selected 28.2 as this is the Bouquets that i loaded.


    How do i verify if this has worked


    4.Setting up a Softcam
    I downloaded enigma2-plugin-cams-cccam.2.2.1_1.0-r0_mipsel.ipk and followed procedure fine.
    (I am using a proper sl** card with entertain channels etc )


    How do i verify if this stage has worked..



    I was hoping the Bouquet and EPG would be very similiar to the Skx "!!


    Can anybody shed some light on this for me ??

    Much appreciated guys.


    Just to finalise, having a receiver with dual tuners like the Duo, i should be able to watch and record on the other tuner using 1 ISP line and 1 cs subscription ??


    I was just confused where people were stating that when using a cs service, due to the double checking of the "word" every x seconds, that it would saturate thier network server nic cards, so they dont offer the service (dual login ???)
    It got nothing to do with paying for a cs service, its just finding out whats actually possible..
    I have 2 hd slyboxes and want to replace them with a cs service + home client/server, but want to able to watch on one tuner and record on the other, and then offer this service to my kids internally using the "words" from the due server.


    If its not possible, unless i have to have an ISP line per tuner + a subscription per tuner, then i may not go any further.


    Hopefully i have tried to explain it a it better..

    Just started looking at replacing certain hd sly box's with somthing like a VU+ Duo to perform as a cs client and also act as a server to another HD receiver blade or open/***box for another room.{m-room} if possible..??


    Hopefully the Vu+ will be man enough for the job, and home lan should suffice.... (wireless or cat)


    So just a few questions before i dig deeper, if you dont mind...


    1. Are there many services out there that are providing dual logins for dual tuners ?
    Just had an email back from satvps.com ststing they or nobody else can due to conjestion causing the 2 receivers to drop evry now and then ??


    I assumed that if you had a sat reciever with dual tuners, that sthis wouldnt be a issue ?? am i wrong


    2. ADSL downlink is around 3mb, so should be ample for cs.. BUT if the kids are streaming or xboxing, what minumum bandwidth should i reserve (qos) for cs ?? 500k ?
