    80e83b0d69.jpgI have now got a smargo compliant Oscam and managed to create an oscam.server which shows CARDOK (1 entitlement) - as above

    So why if it is apparently working should my screen be black?

    Oscam.server:

    [reader]

    label = tnt

    description = my_smargo_1

    protocol = smargo

    enable = 1

    device = /dev/ttyUSB0

    caid = 0500

    deskey = 22D60F37567BAB12F505D8C8C71A22E3

    detect = cd

    mhz = 534

    cardmhz = 357

    ident = 0500:030B00

    aeskeys = 0500@030B00:439726EBB6A9 etc etc

    group = 1

    emmcache = 1,3,2

    audisabled = 1

    I can get everything to work in the reader of the STB. However, unless you have enough money to splash out on something like a VU+ Ultimo you will find that receivers nowadays have only one card reader which means you will need an alternative to read a second card.

    I have two cards NC+ and TNTsat. I now have a receiver with only one internal reader. At the moment I am constantly changing the oscam.server until I can get one of the cards to run in the reader.

    Thanks for trying anyway it is much appreciated.

    All I know is on my internal reader this works:

    [reader]

    label = tntsat

    protocol = internal

    device = /dev/sci0

    caid = 0500

    boxkey = 014D902F

    deskey = 22D60F37567BAB12F505D8C8C71A22E3

    detect = cd

    mhz = 450

    cardmhz = 2700

    ident = 0500:030B00

    aeskeys = 0500@030B00:439726EBB6A939A456C05FF6AA606C43,F1 ........ad infinitum

    group = 1

    emmcache = 2,1,2,1

    disablecrccws = 1

    audisabled = 1

    Unfortunately my VU+ Uno died and I had to replace it. STBs with 2 card readers no seem to be exceptionally expensive which is why I am trying card readers.

    Slight improvement.

    With the first one it appears to be working but not reading the card: -OFF (no entitlements). I have tried inserting the long TNTsat aeskey I used before but no change.

    With the second one it is back to: - READER DEVICE ERROR (no entitlements). Changing the aeskey produces the same result

    It is an Argolis SmartReader V2 SKU: SMARGOPLUS - see photo. I do not understand what I see with Scan USB" (image 1). It does not even show my hard drive. Telnetting is more interesting (telnet.text)

    Yesterday when I first installed it I am certain it was working. Today it was not. Am I right in thinking that it disconnected and having disconnected will not reconnect?d3e5d.jpglinuxsat-support.com/cms/attachment/136357/

    Telnet.txt

    I have tried both smartreader and mouse. My original oscam.server based on my configuration for my internal reader was

    [reader]

    label = tntsat

    protocol = smartreader

    device = /dev/ttyUSB0

    caid = 0500

    boxkey = 014D902F

    deskey = 22D60F37567BAB12F505D8C8C71A22E3

    detect = cd

    mhz = 450

    cardmhz = 2700

    ident = 0500:030B00

    aeskeys = 0500@030B00:439726EBB6A939A456C05FF6AA606..etc

    group = 1

    emmcache = 2,1,2,1

    disablecrccws = 1

    audisabled = 1

    I also tried the following modifications

    mhz = 357
    cardmhz = 357
    emmcache = 1,3,2

    I have also downloaded the usbserial drivers s2-dvb-usb drivers but all I get is "READER DEVICE ERROR" in Oscam Webif.

    Based on the link I have now also tried

    [reader]

    label = mysmargoreader

    protocol = smartreader

    device = 001:002

    aeskey = 0500@030B00:439726EBB6A939A456C05FF6AA606C4 etc [aeskey replaced for that of TNT]

    group = 5

    caid = 0700

    disablecrccws = 1

    and

    reader]

    label = mysmargoreader

    protocol = smartreader

    device = Serial:Reader 1

    detect = cd

    mhz = 600

    cardmhz = 600

    emmcache = 1,3,2

    group = 5

    services = my_services

    aeskeys = 0500@030B00:439726EBB6A939A456C05FF68082F84854242AE etc

    disablecrccws = 1

    All I get is reader device error

    Zgemma H7

    OpenViX 5.3.015

    I have found that all Oscams that you download with Openvix have:

    cardreader_smargo: no

    How do I find an Oscam that will run on Openvix and supports Oscam or is it best to change image.

    Thanks for your reply. I still cannot get it to work. When I Readers -> Scan USB I get:

    d3cf2770532f23ea.jpg

    It appears to show 4 USBs although I am only supposed to have three. I have a hard drive and the smargo attached as a guess the smargo is device 7. I have tried various configurations in the tutorial. However it might help if I could understand my USB device list

    I have a NC+ conax card which I have got running with Oscam but it will not update. I do not have the RSA. The supplier Kamsat never sent it and insists I do not need it.

    To try to get it to update in my VU+ Uno I thought I would try a smargo. I cannot get this to work. II have tried this configuration:

    [reader]

    label = mysmargoreader

    protocol = smartreader

    device = /dev/ttyUSB3 [I have tried 0,1 and 2 and card both ways]

    caid = 0b01

    smargopatch =1

    detect = cd

    mhz = 357

    cardmhz = 357

    group = 5

    emmcache = 1,3,2

    I am using Vix so I should not need drivers but it just does not want to know. My oscam webinterface is as attached.

    If I try to update it on a Windows 10 computer the update button greys out as is if it is working but it remains at 0% all the time.9372dbdf363d9923.jpg

    Saturday:

    My first point of call was the vti website admittedly it was in the English section and I was unaware of the crash log at the time. The image is the latest one for an old style VU+ Uno. they have withdrawn support for older machines on the basis that there is not enough space on them. I will however go back to them and try out my German because I have tried OpenATV and cannot even get CCCam to work at least not within an hour.

    Monday:

    No reply from the vti site but I have got TNTSat working and recording with Vix

    I have finally got a TNTsat card working with OScam only to find I cannot record anything. It goes through all the motions of recording but but I end up with empty files as below.

    It is the same whether I try it with the recorder or just press record. I have no problem with other channels just TNT. I don't know whether it is my Oscam configuration or what. Iam using a VTI image 11.1 VU+ Uno

    My Oscam server is

    Here is an interesting gaget

    xxx://dvbsklep.pl/blocker-smart-card-nc-plus-cameleon

    Seemingly it repairs seca cards to get them going again.

    From what I can make out because I have a Seca card which no longer works. Seca is being phased out. At the moment it is being tunnelled through Nagra whatever that means which has stopped people like me using an unofficial receiver and a card splitter.

    Some official decoders like Pace have put out upgrades but they are not automatic. You need to manually make the box do it. Even if you do get it working it will not last long as any working Seca cards will be replaced.

    From Satkurier.pl on cards no longer working (google translated):

    It does not matter what the receiver is - the same will be on the less expensive Ariva Ferguson and on the expensive Vu + Ultimo 4K and on CAM modules other than the original CAM CI + from nc +*. Here is an important note - the cards cease to work also on the equipment itself nc + : in the oldest original CAM modules after the former Cyfra + (with dark blue stickers) and on Philips decoders, which from May this year. they lost their support of nc + and should be replaced. But there is no information on the replacement of the oldest CAM modules.

    *That is your Aston Cam gone

    That is great news. However I have just opened the box and the card clearly states Nagra not Conax. So I am going to have to return it and think again.
