I could( and will ) press the thanks button , but I have been messing about trying to recover from the no ca error for weeks , anyhow after I bought a new null modem cable the above fix worked first time . Thank you very much :)
I now have a working DM , just got to get some channels again now

O.K .
Bought a new null modem cable and hey presto its communicating with my box straight away , Brilliant - I thought !!.
It now uploads , then stops and is giving me a message of " upload complete waiting for acknowledge " , What do i do now ?
I cant seem to acknowledge anything .
Any ideas people ?

The cable mentioned in your link -, the usb ( big end ) goes to pc , but the smaller end goes to service socket ? , where is that ? , there is no socket that shape at the back of my dm , or is it inside or even worse Have I just missed it ?

Latest disaster of my Dreambox .
Having tried uploading another new flash after coolmantv failure . I now get even less out of my box , only a message saying " no ca error " . I've looked on the forum for help , I cant even comunicate via ip address , cant get a connection via my cable and cant remember how many times its been switched on/off .
I think I'm finaly screwed .
anyone got a magic wand ? or am I commiting the biggest sin of all and going back to s.k.y

Thanks for answer , I have tried to connect via Dcc but it now wont connect with the dm so i cant remove coolman.

I am really struggling with my 800 pvr box .
I am trying to install the cool tv guide , I rekon to have managed it , so was in the final stages of shutting down my dream box , then re-booting as required but now it starts to boot , then just says switch off . so I did but it wont get any further than that , I switch it off again and it boots to the same point !!! AAAgh what have I done wrong ???
I have pulled the plug but it just locks up at the same point .
( or do I drop kick it down the garden ) .
Anyone any ideas ?

Hi all , Very new to this so please bear with me.
Dreambox 800 hd , has nemisis background etc, i'm just asking a general question , where can i get instructions ( i need idiot proof ones ) that will guide me through the process of getting me more channels , I cant even get it connected to my pc .( or do i get new running gear )

Hi all. I have a dreambox 800 hd , I am totaly confused about the cccam line thing , the general setup of my box , Its flashed with the nemisis background which seems quite hard to follow ( never mind card sharing ) and I generally feel a bit useless .
But I live in hope and will keep trying :).
Hope this site can help ( thanks in advance to anyone who can ) .
