  • box sometimes freezes when switching off

    Hi all like it says only really started today not every time but quite a bit i go to switch box off with remote red button and it just freezes only thing you can do is switch off power at the back and then on again seems to solve it for a while but has been doing it on and off all day anyone had this problem

    Hi All not posted for a couple of days lol all going well just looking to add a hard drive to my openbox s9 any i should be looking at or avoiding not even looked how recording works i saw somewere that hd recording takes a lot of space on your hard drive any advice thanks

  • feed to another room

    had another thought on this if you get a hdmi splitter box then a long hdmi lead aprox 15meters put one feed to the tv near the box and use the long lead to feed hdmi to other tv in another room any thoughts

    Just looking most hdmi splitters seem to have one output and 3 inputs found one the other way but its about ?70 time you have bought the hdmi lead may as well buy another box lol

    just been looking at the tv system and changing a few settings found that if i change the video out to rgb from yuv then the scart works and the hdmi dosnt and vica verca so would that mean i would have to have it on rgb for a rf modulator to work or has someone got a rf modulator working with the openbox with video out set to yuv hope this makes sense lol

    Well thanks to the help on here im up and running :biggrin1:
    my question is can i some how feed it through to another room with a coax i have seen a Scart to RF modulator or maybe feed from scart on back of openbox through an old vcr and out of the rf on that is it possible or do you need to switch between the hdmi and scart on the openbox i know i will have to watch the same channel but thats ok if anyone has this set up or knows how to it woulb be great

    Hi i have now pluged my ethernet cable into my router and box how do i know if the box is connected i have go to the menu and network setup it says DHCP- ON
    then ip addy--------


    then subnet mask-----
    then gateway--------
    then dns primary -------
    then dns secondary -------- daz

    Just seems to be on itv 1 hd i havent got any encrypted channels yet or a server just picked up some ethernet cable so will be looking into it

    just a bit not too bad but early days all looks well i am going to pick some ethernet cable up and see how i go not to bad at the moment the box in the same room as the router but may move it then will look at the home plug route thanks again (good news it has the latest firmware)

    Just picked it up pluged it in to sat and it has the stations on already well the fta and the others have $ signs against them they seem to be in favorites 1-8 plus all sat and eurobird the hd itv seems to be out of sync the chap who i got it off said it has april firmware on how do i check it i have no internet connection on yet will be a few days do i need to scan the for channels to get the sync or is there a file to put on cheers

    Call me a pain hooley if you like i had *** multi room but now have ***+ in one room and in the other i have my spare cable from my dish where my multi room was it has two cables to my + box but only one to my spare will this work ok with the openbox or do you need a twin

    Hi another nebi question (havent got the box yet)when connecting the open box to the router do you use any software like with the dreambox (dreambox control center) i have reaad the tuts but cant seem to see this or is it me
