I have went through all the options on CrossEPG, but there is no option for setting the .dat at a network location?

Ok so i have box 1 HDD network now mounted, it can be seen from box 2 via network browser.

So how exactly do I set box 2 to pull in the epg.dat from box 1?

Or is the network mount to be set as "HDD Replacement" on box 2?

Hi, looking for options to see if this is possible to FTP/transfer epg.dat via cron.

I've two boxes running openvix on my home network.

Box 1 has sat and Internet connection.

Box 2 only has Internet only.

My channels are a mix of sat and IPTV.

My objective is to get my epg data onto box 2 via cron, or other.

On box 1, I've the epg setup to update channels via dbv satellite.

Box 2 doesn't have sat connection, so what I'm thinking, is to simply try to routinely pickup the epg.dat from box 1, and FTP/transfer it to box 2.

Then I'd import the epg.dat nightly on box 2.

Does openvix allow me to do run scripts that can be executed via cron?

Great plugin this. Quick questions please...
Is there any way to have a series "parent" folder, say: "the wire", then within that you have "season 1", and "season 1" etc inside the parent folder.
This is the format on the file directory on the VU box, but in the plugin, it just lists all the episodes. Is there a way to select the series parent folder in the list, then drill into that series to season.
Listing them all on the main view is little annoying. (I know there is a series &/ movies view :)

I hope i've got the right place to post here, as i couldn't see where to make feature request/changes to Vix.
I find it annoying when my Vix constantly offers updates, even after applying the latest updates and rebooting. I always get another notification to update. (with nothing in the changlog)
If I go to Setup > System > Software Update, then Check Every. I've only 48 hours as max value. Any possibility of adding maybe every 2 weeks or something?
I find it strange Vix don’t allow higher values here. Must have good servers!
I'm using a VU Solo2, with OpenViX 3.0-766.
