    Thanks for reply.

I tried this out last night. I waited until early hours because my card is in my main DM800 server which I shut down the server part during testing so I could borrow the card from it.
I have installed debian server with desktop gui on my laptop which does not have a serial interface so I use a prolific usb to serial cable for connection plus usb lead for power. I set up the Infinity card reader beforehand to make sure that it was in phoenix mode at correct speed.
I configure my dm800 as client now and using laptop as server on local network. After inserting the card into the reader and zapping through a few channels on the dm800 the oscam wif on the server indicates that there is no card support so its obviously not reading it. In oscam.server I tried lines:
    ‘device = /dev/ttyS0’
    ‘device = /dev/ttyUSB0’
I think the latter is correct in this case but neither worked. Could possibly be down to the prolific lead?

Using the command ‘lusb’ debian indicates that the prolific interface and the Infinity usb reader are recognised.

Also another problem is that although the client sees the server on local it is not seen on the wan side. Its as if the server is somehow firewalled. I have forwarded correct ports from router to server.
As I said earlier I know zilch about linux. I feel quite pleased that Ive managed to get so far with the project but also disappointed that after coming so far its not working. Im sure that its probably something simple to rectify – if you are familiar with linux that is. Commands, settings, access etc I have no familiarity whatsoever.

Well I know zilch about Linux and that's the truth. I dug out my old laptop and thought Id give this a try on that. Took a while but well impressed with the outcome. Appears to be working fine. Ah but what about adding my old Infinity usb card reader to it, I had big doubts. Followed the sticky by master G and once again appears to be working fine so big thanks to Ten and MasterG for this.
I read somewhere that it is wise to restart the server once a day? Could someone please instruct on how to do this automatically at a certain time.

    Thanks

Running Oscam + Mbox (gbox protocol) for some time now on Blackhole.
My local is S** uk. The problem Im having is that my peers S** cards do not clear at my end even if I remove my own local card. Oscam webif reports :

Not found. status 90 00 = ok but cw=00 -> channel not subscribed

All other cards from my mbox peers such as S** De, D+ clear ok. Its just the S** uk ones that dont.

Ive tried setting preferlocalcards = 0 in oscam.conf and Ive add 0961 (old S** uk caid) to ignore list.

Any suggestions anyone, Ive spent hours trying to figure this one out.
