    Hi all,

    I am experiencing some really annoying and stupid problems - is anyone else?

    Openvix: 4.x images all working. After 5.0 stuttering of recordings with permanent timeshift turned on - never did this before. One answer - turn off the timeshift. Yes it worked but it was a bodge not a fix.

    I read that it is a driver issue but no one is going to fix it - the answer was try OpenATV etc as they use a different driver or way of timeshifting (I can't remember exactly).

    Latest OpenATV, Teamblue, OpenHDF- giga extra C tuner usals not working. Nothing.

    Tuner A & B both fixed LNB's on 28.2 East - if I use autosat detect it gives me 13E Hotbird (it's fixed on 28E) on tuner A on OpenATV, Teamblue, OpenHDF. If I set it to 28E and scan I get nothing, not lock, nothing.

    Tuner B works ok.

    So out of 3 tuners only 1 is working. I'm going back to Openvix 4.x as none of these problems existed. Yes I do have the latest boot loader.

    How can Giga's own tuner not work??

    I've been really impressed with the GB Quad + images since I bought it to replace my DM8000 until these latest silly problems. If I knew how to fix it I would, but I dont

    cheers all, time to reinstall a much earlier image that is known working :rasta2bigsmoke0gf1:

    Hi Spud 312R,

    I'm F4R ;-)

    Personally I use oscam, I personally find it much easier than arsing about with f lines and c lines. But everyone has their favourite!

    With oscam you don't need the box id and all the hex conversion stuff, as oscam just reads it. It is very easy to set up and once you are happy you can get all clever with all the different options. What ever you do - don't put your box id on any forum ;-) ...... they who provide the cards look for this and will allegedly then kill your card over the air.

    There is plenty out there (search engine) for oscam s** uk configs. Here is a bit of a working oscam.server file:-

    [reader]
    label = uk_sat
    protocol = internal
    device = /dev/sci0
    caid = 0963
    ecmwhitelist = 0963:3E,42,44,45,47,4E,4F,5F,53,54,56,61,62,67,68,69,6A,6B,6 D,6E,6F,71,72,73,74,76,77,78,79,7A,7C,7D,7E,80,85,8B
    detect = cd
    mhz = 600
    cardmhz = 600
    ident = 0963:000000
    group = 1
    ecmcache = 1
    emmcache = 1,3,2
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-g = 1
    blockemm-u = 0
    blockemm-s = 0
    lb_weight = 300

    Good luck mate :-)

    Hi all,

    I have a sim 2.01 clone (sold as genuine DM800 - thought it was cheap!). Anyway, I got the dreaded NO CA found error.

    I followed the advice here and from a few other forums.

    I tried all ways to fix the problem. The only way for me was an old laptop with REAL serial port, and win XP. I tried different usb/serial ports but they don't work.

    Universal Dreamup v2009 (by Flickster), and dm800 repair. Worked first time no problems! Thanks to all the guys / girls that did the software and found it out the hard way.
    All now working :-)

    Thanks again,

    Stargateuser :-)
