I seem to be in a bit of bother now. I found the merlin music player and downloaded it, but couldn't seem to find it in the menu, so I thought maybe a reboot is necessary. However then I just kept getting a green screen with the spinning vix symbol. I then switched it off and left it for 20 minutes and now its just stuck on a red light and starting. I guess at this stage the only thing I can do now is to reflash the image.

I have some audio books in MP3 format on a usb stick and quite often play them through my VU+ Duo using media player on the menu. I was just wondering is there any way to resume playing at the point I previously stopped at ? At the moment if I stop the player and later return, I always have to fast forward again to the point where I left off. I am using Vix image 2.2.100.
Thanks in advance for any help or tips. -
Thanks for your help lads. I put in the Mt Leinster frequency and a bandwith of 8Mhz and did a scan and all channels came up. Now have 3 tuners on
my VU+ Duo . Cheers and thanks again. -
I am trying to use the Suntdtek Media TV Pro USB tuner to pick up the Irish Terrestial channels, but
not having much luck. Here's what I did.
I downloaded the drivers and the Sundetk Control center from the Plugins, and rebooted,
and it now appears as Tuner C: Sundtek Media TV Pro ( USB) ( DVB-T) when I go to Tuner configuration in Menu / Setup.
Now when I pick the option of complete scan of Tuner C ,
it scans and I just get the message , ' scan done 0 services found'
I have tried doing this with the supplied little antenna and also with a loft antenna and still the same result. Would really appreciate any help on this. -
Thanks cazuela, I can now see Tuner C. It seems the problem was I wasn't rebooting properly. When I switched off the power at the mains and then on
again, Tuner C then appeared. Great to have it sorted, thanks again -
I am using VIX 2.2 image on my VU+ Duo and was hoping to get the Irish terrestial channels on the Nova-T.
I went to Plugins and downloaded the driver and rebooted, and plugged in the Nova into one of the USB sockets at the back and using a loft aerial,
but when I look at my tuner configuration, it still shows just A and B, no sign of the Nova-T. I would be grateful for any help anyone could give me. -
I was using that EPG on my solo with Blackhole v 1.6.2 and have just changed to the VIX 2.2 image. There seems to be much more options for EPG on
the VIX image -
I have installed ( I think ! ) that Blackhole Personal backup. I FTP it to tmp folder and then on the remote , green, yelow, manual install. It was there
and seemed to install . I would like to do a backup but cant seem to find it on the menu. Have I missed something ? -
Have just one more question. I notice the link that Sandman has given me is 1.6.2 Sly UK Ready for the Duo. I wonder is there a similar version
suitable for my Solo? I notice this has all the CCcams already installed. Say if I took a backup of my present system the 1.5.1 Sly UK Ready, and then
reflashed with the latest BH 1.6.2 VU+ Solo Final, (which does not have any CCcams included ), and then restored my settings, would this work and
give me the CCcams ? -
Thanks everyone, that sounds good, away at the moment but will give it a go on Monday
-
Thanks for that, but how do I manually install this file ?
-
The present image I have, that came installed with the receiver is BlackHole Vu+ SOLO v. 1.5.1 Sly UK Ready Backup. This works fine and as a complete novice I probably should leave well enough alone, but the latest image 1.6.2 looks good and I'm tempted to try it. I have read how to flash the new image with a usb stick and it seems straightfoward enough. My present image seemingly
Contains Oscam & CCcam 2.1.3 with configs included to update entitlements from self only, not sure exactly what this means but I do know I will
need CCcam 2.1.3 to be able to use the cline that I have received from somebody. How do I install this, and do I need the Oscam as well ?Thanks for any help you can give a novice.
