Hmmm...contacted payserver and he sorted me out on his side....both my boxes now have all chs open and both have the same nline....dont know how thats possible but those are the facts.

Hi Folks.....I have a 320gb WD 2.5in HD connected at the rear of the spiderbox....I formatted the drive via the box without issue.
I have discovered an unusual problem whereby I have no problem recording any of the SD channels,however,when I attempt to record any of the HD channels the channel freezes very frequently and is effectively unwatchable.
I have rebooted the spiderbox and also reformatted the HD to no avail.
I have the latest patch loaded (march 2012 ).
It looks like either the spiderbox cannot handle the speed of the write to the HD or the HD cannot handle the write speed to it.
I do not have another hard drive at present to verify that it is solely the harddrive that is at fault.
Just curious if anyone out there has encountered a similiar issue.

Hi in spiral...thanks for your response....I suspected that you couldn't use the same nline,however I was informed from my pay server that he allows multi room.....I guess that he has to issue a modified line or a new line altogether.

Hi again...had time to work on this today.....I have input the nline correctly as the line is connecting,however it disconnects immediately once I switch channels to a pay channel.
I am using the same nline as I have in the living room (vu UNO).....once I switch off the vu UNO in the living room all is ok with the spiderbox in the bedroom...ie all channels open up.
Immediately upon switching on the vu UNO downstairs I lose the pay channels again On the spiderbox in the bedroom.
I am unsure if it's a conflict somehow between both boxes,my pay server allows multi room from the same nline.
Does the pay server need to activate something on his side or do I need to look elsewhere in my setup for a resolution?

Hi folks....I just bought a spider box for the bedroom...I am unfamiliar with this box and have gone through most of the posts here but I am still a little confused as to what I need to install to open up the channels.
I have updated the box to the latest patch....and I have an niline that I know is working perfectly,however I have installed the nline but it's not opening the channels up.
I think I have everything in order but hopefully yee folks can help me.
I read about the soft key...I take it I don't need this as I have an nline...is this correct?
Is there any idiots guide to setting up the spider box with an nline out there?

Hi there folks....I am running BH 1.7.6 and noticed today when checking memory that my flash is very high at 98%....my ram is fine at 26m free and stable.
It does not appear to be affecting the box at the moment but I remember last week that the flash was about 90%.
I am worried that my box might crash if it maxs out.

Any ideas on this out there?

Hi folks .....I have installed a n*** t stick on my vu duo in Ireland and have all the associated channels...I am wondering if there is some way that I can install picons for these channels...thanks

Hi cazuela......even though I am not 100 % sure, it looks to me to have been a cams conflict like the two cams attempting to start at the same time.....don't even ask why as I cannont explain it.....however,for some reason muse geek oscam and ccam would not work so I installed cam 2.1.4 and 2.2.0...I then got the channels to open up for only about 5 sec each time...and then would freeze...I then deleted cam 2.2.0 and all is perfect since.I have now saved the full image to hdd for security.

Hi folks.....I downloaded both music geeks backup and a had the same issue,however,I eventually noticed that it looked like I had two cams attempting to start at the same time...I disabled one of these and now all working great....strange set of events but all working now....btw,it's a great image well done to all the gang.

Hi hammer boy...thanks for the reply....I have installed my own cfg file to no avail.
What I do notice is that when I press the ok button on the remote I do not see my cline or ecm times...this always came up with blackhole 1.6.6.
It's like the cam (2.1.3) dosnt interface with the cline (not sure if this is the right terminology but hopefully you will understand)

Hi banny...I have tried jus geeks backup...it's installs fine but I still have the problem with my pay chs not opening up.
I'm sorry but could you explain in more detail about the permission chmod that is required? Set 775 for necessary files?....I'm confused now.

Hi Banny-afirmative to both.....Im now wondering if I need to update the bootloader,although I read somewhere else on this site that if there was an issue with the bootheloader then my box would not boot correctly,this does not happen to my box as my problem is only with the pay channels not opening.
Im still on a learning curve here so any ideas would be much appreciated.

hi there....as an aside to this,i have blackhole 1.6.6 installed and working but when updating to 1.7.6 the channels wont open.
Do I need a new bootloader?

hi rami......Im sorry but can you give me more details about the new cfe bootloader and the change the attribut for the ccam and cgg.
All I did was to upload the 1.7.6 image via usb from my origional working 1.6.6 image.....should I have done something in between?
I have searched on this site and all over the web but to no avail

Hi There....I have a problem whereby I am currently running blackhole image 1.6.6 (VU Duo) and its working perfectly.
However,when I upgrade to blackhole 1.7.5 or 1.7.6 and install the cccam,I cannot the pay channel lines.
I have tried different cccams,rebooting the box etc to no avail.
However,when I go back to blackhole 1.6.6 the lines open up no problem.

My question is I guess,is there any issue with upgrading from the above versions or do I have to upgrade to a lower version prior to upgrading to the latest version.
Any of you good folks out there that can help I would be very much oblidged.
