Dear all.
I have a genuine VU+ Duo 2, purchased about 8 years ago. Current image is OpenVix 6.0.008 (see below re updating). We have a glassfibre internet connection. (The LAN cable is usually attached router->Netgear multisocket->VU+ but even connecting directly router ->VU+ does not change anything)
Problem 1: The Network menu shows me WLAN and LAN. Network Test on both shows me all green on each one and each one shows me a tick in the Link box.
However, even when LAN is selected as "default", trying to download a plugin it tells me I have no Internet. Selecting WLAN and trying to download a plugin tells me I need to run opkg update. I presume that an updated opkg would come with a newer image. And that leads to the second problem..
Problem 2: I always have trouble flashing new images from a USB stick, despite following the instructions faithfully, so I decided to download a new OpenVix image via Image Manager. Selecting *any* from the list either gives me FAILED or a blue bar and "Waiting" beneath it. This Waiting stays there literally for hours until I give up and have to switch the VU+ off at the back to get out of that page.
So in short - why does it tell me I have no internet, when Network tests show LAN is ok ? And why is it always Waiting?
Any help you can give me would be very welcome.
