Having major difficulty getting this to work , at minute I have oscam installed on Ubuntu .. However adding a second is proving a nightmare ... Any one got any ideas , so far been searching forum to get we're I'm at now which is no were ...
I have oscam and oscam2 bin files along with list smargo all in var /local
In usr/local/etc I have configs that were there for my first working oscam
I have added a folder in here called configs2 ....
Thing is obv I need something to firstly tell oscam2 to start on boot and secondly were to get its configs from I guess -
Ok I can live with that , I don't mind taking the risk ... However would rather risk it with a cheaper 3 month card rather than a 12 months prepaid card
-
Are these cards ok to buy use again , I had one in cccam that stopped working , prepaid one that is ,
-
are you using a whitelist ?
-
And your user config ?

I have mine setup like this,
Have 2 binaries in /usr/local/bin
Named
oscam
oscam.12I then made a new folder in /usr/local/etc
called configs1
then edit my rc.local
sudo nano rc.local
and enter
sleep 30
/usr/local/bin/oscam -b -c /usr/local/etc
sleep 2
/usr/local/bin/oscam.12 -b -c /usr/local/etc/configs1 -t /tmp/.oscam.12which makes the second oscam, oscam.12 look for its configs in /usr/loacl/etc/configs1
your first oscam will have its configs in /usr/local/etc as normal
whats this bit doing mate
-t /tmp/.oscam.12 -
Would this work on a raspberry or not enough oomf in it?
-
Or if I used the oscam /cccam installer , would you be able to use the oscam /cccam plug in for the one dns and the cccam (var/etc) for the other one ?
-
Is there a tut for this , I presume i would need 2 bin files right ? With different names , its just the server, user, config files I'm wondering what to do with them (would I also need 2 of each)

I have a raspberry 256Mb for several months,
I use it with oscam and cardreader SCR3310 and works perfectly.
Ecm are identical to those of the cardreader dreambox
I only use in terminal mode via putty, do not use the graphical interface
my / boot / config.txt is all uncommentI suggest this excellent tutorial RPiconfig - eLinux.org
Got this up and running now but only problem is ecms that were normally under 200 on cache 3 mode are near 1000 .... Drop down when disable all cachex 3 users/ readers . Have around 10 exchanges running with a cache size of 4000 ,,, dropped memory to 16 as suggested and not running desktop . Using latest oscam
-
Minimising the memory for graphics mine is set at 64 at present (if that's the right thing I'm looking at) , what does this need to be set at .. Thanks ... It's just the client number I'm thinking about , not sure weather to use this as a client only or a peer only system at the moment
-
Has any one got one of these running oscam , any feedback would be appreciated
Amount of clients?
Card reading speed?
Over heating ?Many thanks

I noticed you posted the same error on another thread, basically all you are doing is extracting then replacing your current oscam binary file. If you are getting this error then you have not followed the steps posted as written.
followed them to a tee , pretty fool proof ..
iv just gone to the oscam download centre and downloaded oscam-1.20-unstable_svn8006-i686-linux-gnu-libusb ... done this as when i log into putty i see this i686 in the corner ... any way now this does update but my reader dissapears and cant get it back m not even listen in readers -
not working for me mate im getting syntax error at the end
-
is there any way of editing this so it fetches a newer version of oscam
