    Personal choice to be honest!

Cccam 2.2.1 would be the newest version...

2.1.4 is used a lot also...

And 2.1.3 would be the more common one when using oscam...

Take note a lot of people won't share with you unless your using cccam 2.1.4 or above, due to the fact it is possible to fake cards with 2.1.3

    OpenPLi-2.0-beta-dm800se-20110724 by gjstroom

This image is a 100% build image from OpenPLi source, it doesn't use an older Enigma2 binary and has no later modifications to the image. I did some patches to the enigma2 code. Due to the use of the modified drivers which use 'dev/misc/pvr', recordings do not playback because the newer Enigma2 wants to do playback by use of '/dev/dvb/adapterX/dvrX'.
My patch brings back the use of 'dev/misc/pvr' by Enigma2.

    I don't own a DM800SE box, so I can't give active support!

You've tried two dishes and its the same channels im guessing?

So its not the dish being offline a small bit..

It just sounds like the tuners are weak..

Did you clean the contacts of the tuners when you were installing the new one?

So your saying you tried the box on a different dish and its still only getting the 80 channels??

Do you know are they H or V tps you are pulling in??

Flashed my dm500s not so long ago and could only get H tps... Had to reflash again...

You said you tried a new tuner?? What type of tuner are you using, and wat was the new tuner???

    Sounds like something simple lad...

Are you sure your F-Connectors are correct? Co-ax peeled correct and wired?

Its one simple mistake I used make a lot when I was younger..

Also what run of co-ax do you have??

    Is it split anywhere?

Have you set up cs studio for your dm500s to see what your connected to??

Or type in your dm500s ip :16001 for webinfo

    eg. 192.168.1.4:16001

And you'll have to put in username and password..

Click servers and if you dont see any cards the clines given arent on...

While saving for your local use the non locals section ;)

    Thats how everyone starts out!

Welcome another dub by the way! Im a kerry man ;)

i dont know where to share cards with ppl, plus i doubt any body with share with me there *** or nova card , for my tring(if i had one ) thanks for the welcome.

Stay away from payservers... There service is crap for the money!

Most payservers have one or two cards mate, then fake the rest!!

    We'll help you get sorted!

Oh you'll get good shares with Tring trust me!

    The best in fact!!

    Glitch free ;)

And you'll feel a lot better than paying payservers for it too...

So I could pick up a 1m dish and add on 2 extra LNB's.

You would have to buy a multi arm for your dish and better off buying 3 lnbs as the *** lnb wouldnt exactly be great...

    What packages/providers are on 13E & 19e?

    Few nice ones:

Sly de, D+, Canalsat France, Canal Digital on 19 east to name a few...

Nova, Sly It, Cyfra, Polsat, Al jazeera Sport, to name a few on 13 east...

Have a look here for further info: FlySat Packages List

Id go for a motor if i were you!

Set it up properly and you'll never regret it..

    Sats worth watching hmmmmmm...

A lot have the original english language as an audio option!

    The main ones i use:

    28east,23east,19east,16east,13east,7east,0.8West and 30West...

There is loads of football, drama, movies and docs on these sats with the english option!

    I have a fixed dish on 28,19 and 13...

I have it for the kitchen reciever...

But i use my motor more on the full arc...

    More choice like...

    >Can I only pick up 28.2 on a standard *** Mesh dish?

Fixed in its current position yes! Only 28.2 East can be got... But moving it around you have a chance of getting the stronger sats like 19east, 13 east and prob 42 east aswell if you had the patience...

    >If I upgrade/upsize the dish, can I use the existing bracket, or do I need to replace the dish, bracket etc and start from scratch?

You could use the existing bracket but i wouldn't advise it if it is one of those L shape brackets... A U brakcet attached to the wall in the top and bottom is much more stable for a bigger dish!

    >If I upgrade the dish, I'd like to get a multi LNB arm, which would potentially feed the DM800HD, along with at least 1 DM500S. Where is the best place to buy satellite gear (Dish, LNB, Bracket, switches) without going bricks and mortar and paying a fortune?

Well there's our sponsor!.... I know a fella up near you that sells sat hardware and good old fleabay where you can get a bargain from!

Ask away we're here to help!
