From my own experience, cheap & cheerful performs as well as any other, its a pretty simple piece of hardware.
Lol i aint going cheap and cheerful again!

My setup...
As you can see i have the multi-arm sorted at last but the switch is still dodgy :P... Must invest in a proper one!
2 x 80cm cheapo dishes!...
Fixed dish with 28,19 and 13 east!
And motor on most of the arc with a 0.1 cheapo lnb!
Dm500s, PS3, Ubuntu Laptop (Got for free from Freecycle!) and Surround sound system...
Spiderbox 5000sd...
Cheapo set up for sure but does the job!
Need to get a hd box next off!

So keep an eye on them saturday night if you have the fight it will be on them channels

I have catseye's on mine and the channel is there in the s*y box office section!

BBC World News is my strongest tp is 88% and 93%...
But i cannot get some channels then! Im using an 88cm here in the south of Ireland!
Your motor and dish need to be correctly aligned and your lnb properly skewed!
