i think it depends on the image you have loaded on the box, on gemini i could use the quick button (i think it was the yellow button) option and then go to the epg which was first on the list.
i haven't got it in front of me now to try it out, its in my mates house and he's at work. he now has dreamelite running on his box and i haven't had a good go of that yet.

i see from your other posts you have a dm500
usually its straight forward to do the settings.

on mine using pli i go to menu, (6)setup, satellites and transponders, satellite configuration, 4 satellites via diseqc.
4 spaces should appear on the screen allowing you to select whatever satellites you have connected to the switch in order.
ie connection 1 on the switch = diseqc aa, connection 2 = diseqc ab, connection 3 = diseqc ba, connection 4 = diseqc bb.

if you already have this done there must be a problem either with the disqec output or the switch, also could be the coax wire.

i had a problem over the last few weeks with a dm800 and intermittent switching where the switch would not operate every time, i changed the switch and its ok now.

.:: PREMIUM+ TWIN Support is COMMING in next few day's ::.

    Download :

    post is from mickeysa

he also said it can be used on the p+ but it will only support one tuner at the moment.
an updated version for the p+ is due out in the next few days with twin tuner support.

If you are working on your friends receiver then i would recommend using Teamviewer.
Its brilliant for remote access because it gives you full control over his pc but he can see everything that you are doing..

just downloaded it and will try it later, hes home from work now and is watching tv so cant be messing around till later on.

Ten below, i'm in my house working thru the web interface and i already have that port forwarded on his router so i dont think i'm on a local network (as i understand you mean local network with his receiver and my laptop connected directly through the same router. i'm not a hundred percent up on all this setup but i'm getting there)

The changelogs in the newer images state a web interface fix, so installing a new image will fix it.
I'm still using an older image where the webtv doesn't work.

thanks for the replies, i will look into dreamelite and pli as an alternative.

the vlc plugin is installed on my laptop but the web tv still wouldn't work from his box even with my laptop.

i need to do some reading to find out what sim is in the box.

my mate is using a dm800 clone with the original fw that was loaded on it when he bought it about 4 months ago.

i have pli on my dm500 and it works perfect, i can use the web tv with no problems through the router on the local network.

when i try to use his web tv through his local network in his house the picture doesn't come up and in general the web interface is slow to respond.

i am using a linksys router which it not great but it seems to have no problems with speed between the dm500 and the rest of the network. he is using a belkin router.

i am wondering if this is just a problem with the gemini image or have i some settings wrong?

the dm800 is hosting an al jazeera card for the last month or so with no problems at all.

maybe using pli on the dm800 would improve this?

looking at the poll at the top of this section, pli seems to be favoured over other images, but not by much.

    thanks.

whats is a cheep and easy wat to do this?lol

i got a usb to sata/ide adapter from fleebay for about 10 euro delivered.
it allows me connect to both 2.5 and 3.5 hard drives both ide and sata, also comes with a power supply with adapters for both as well.
its a quick way to copy/format any hard drive without having to open a desktop to connect it up.
theres probably another way of doing the same thing using a dreambox but i find this easy and quick.

from what I?ve read most jsc cards seem to have problems updating incl. through the official page which allows up to 3 updates per day so unless you can recieve direct signal (nilesat 7?W ) like other users allow emms .. it has been mentioned that hotbird doesnt update that frequently..
Note for other future users: if your card hasnt been preactivated then you have a period of one weeks grace to activate it..

i have an irdeto card on 13e but for the last 2 weeks +9 and +10 are gone, its shared between a dm800 and a dm500 at the moment and its glitch free using cccam.

i had an irdeto card working perfect last year on +1 to +10.

i can access the al jazeera site for cards using a proxy and i am going to try and send an update signal to the card.

does anybody know if it will update on 13e? i will try anyway and post the results.

hi, i had cccam working through multicas and it was ok. used to drop out a little now and again but not much.

i've since loaded on enigma2 rc4 and use cccam now the same way as its used in the dreamboxes. only problem is that the internal card reader doesnt work with it.

as far as i know cccam in enigma on an az can be used as a server but not with a local card (unless a usb cardreader can be used which i'm not sure)

oscam is supposed to work using the internal card reader but i tried setting it up for about two hours and gave up.

i have to say cccam is working spot on as a client for me, i have a localcard in a dm800 and a dm500 as a client as well.

Managed to work it, here's the full info

Still You can expect some bugs which will be improved after implementation of DVB-T, DVB-C, ISDB-T and Twin Tuner support ( Premium+ )

Rc6 is out, new kernel, and hd channel fix, this version is for instalation on the dom.

More coming with dvb-c & t and dual tuner support for premium plus.

I cant cut & paste all the info cos i'm on my phone but the above is the main points.

a twin lnb will work the exact same as a single lnb but i went with quad lnbs as theres 4 outputs and the cost difference is minimal.

the only snag i see with using quads ahead of singles or twins is that they tend to be heavier but i've had no problems so far.

i bought 10 quads in one go to save on shipping but i've only got 5 of them on the dish so far.

its better to buy gear that will allow you upgrade easily later down the road so twins or quads are definitely the way to go.

got this in an email from rti team.
the drivers are only for the test version on the usb stick but this is looking very good for my p+

    NEW : A/V/Tuner drivers

    Fixed problem with HD channels on : 23.5 E, 0.8w, 30w, 13E
better Deinterlace , now you can choice : off, 1,2 3
    Added Digital Audio settings
    Faster Zap, Sharper Picture
Improved multimedia features / thanks go to sattommy
Added excellent Media Center / also

NOTE : Use only one (DVB-S) tuner while testing
NOTE : This is for USB version of Enigma 2 !!!

For now , only for Elite/Premium - only one DVB-S tuner
soon test ver for Ultra and Premium+ , and with both tuners

hi, i set a t90 up about 6 months ago. took a bit of tweaking but got it ok after about an hour messing with it. i only have 5 lnb's on at the minute but i've bought a EMP-Centauri 16/1 DiSEqC last week and i'm going to hook it up over the next few weeks.

i had a 4-1 diseqc sw on one tuner in my azbox and 28e on the other but i'm hoping to put the 16-1 into one tuner and a motor on the second tuner which should cover everything, ie quick zapping for the most used sats and a motor for feeds and other oddball stuff.

i would say a t90 is easier to setup than a motor but the lnb brackets that come with it aren't great. i have 28e around to nearly 30 w (i haven't put the 30w lnb on yet so it might be a bit out of its range).

    good luck with the install.
